This is Ziggy. He's just being weird in front of the fireplace again.

We also have a Ziggy, but he came to us in our backyard not quite a year old. Left eye swollen shut from fighting, so we had to take him in. He's a wild child.

Thank you so much, this is a great time saver.

Another vote for Lessons In Chemistry, my wife and I loved it. I’ll watch anything with Brie Larson anyway (which reminds me of another series I’ll post) but I also knew instantly the male lead was Bill Pullman’s son without looking him up. Looks just like him.

Ya know, sometimes it’s just not your cup of whatever. I’ve wasted a lot of time trying to find something to like about shows that everyone loves. One thing I have tried is just skipping to the next season to see if it picks up, but that rarely works.

Slow Horses, Apple TV+. Best spy series in the last ten years. While we're on Apple, Bad Sisters. Amazing ensemble cast.

Thing is, multiple surveys show that most parents have great satisfaction with their local schools. Yet they think the entire system is awful because of propaganda from assholes like this.

Traffic on that stretch of I-85 sucks on a good day, so this must have been a special kind of hell for everyone.

RE: the quote: We used to have that. It was called "Radio".

Well done.

Yeah. We’re getting too old to deal with the bad ones, but 4”-6” on the ground with the roads clear is nice.

Ziggy can't wait to get out in the snow. He'll run around for 20 minutes and come in soaking wet, then want to go back out as soon as he's dry. Unfortunately, we haven't had snow for two years in upstate SC. Ironically Tyger, our Maine Coon mix and genetically built for the cold, hates it.

Samuel L. Jackson had something to say about those.

I have thought that for decades.

Welcome!

You can do that, but I really like the opening video montage.

Blame that on Berman and Braga. Some love it but I despise it (as a ST theme.) I always mute it until the opening credits are done. Whatever, everyone has their favorites, de gustibus and all that. Strange New Worlds theme is growing on me, but I liked the theme for Lower Decks instantly.

Ernie Kovacs of course, but Edie Adams deserves immense credit for preserving her husband's TV recordings after his death. It was a pioneering idea at a time when old recordings were routinely destroyed.

I know what you're going through. I've read every nutrition list on Chewy. Cats in my case, I'm allergic to dogs. We had two with different allergies so there was exactly one dry food they could both eat.

There's another, @jeriryan.bsky.social, that has no posts or replies. Just follows and followers. Showed up in my follow notifications and I just got here, so I was skeptical. Reported.

Thank you. I needed that.

Hal Clement's Mission of Gravity is a must-read then. Can't remember the name of the sequel off the top of my head.
