Okay damn now I need to finally read #childrenofbloodandbone

In the light of the Gaiman controversy, I find myself deeply conflicted. I’ve always been a huge and very vocal fan/ supporter of his work, so all this coming out is making me feel completely awful. It reinforces just how little you can truly know a public persona, and while learning the truth in 1/

In your opinion, what is the best film adaptation of a book? My top 3: 1. Stardust 2. The Martian 3. Pride & Prejudice (2005) #booksky 💙📚 📚🪐

Contemporary is probably my favourite, but I’m a real sucker for futuristic, too. Historical is the one I could probably do without. I find myself reaching for it the least. #BookishQOTD 📖🦋 #Booksky 💙📚

Wrote out all our wedding invites tonight. Felt surreal and wonderful and now my back hurts. But most of all I love @rayjelly.bsky.social

It’s not that you have too many books. It’s that you don’t have enough bookshelves.

First of all #fuckJKR But HP - specifically book 6 - first got me into reading as a hobby, and for that I’ll always be grateful. It’s the series that taught me magic is real - and it’s in things called books.

Current read: #booksky💙📚

This review got a little more raw than I meant it to; but it’s genuine words for what I know is a genuine piece of (phenomenal) work. #booksky💙📚 www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

What’s a book or series that you read as a kid that almost nobody seems to read or remember these days? We read this in school and it was my absolute favourite. I read it independently years later and loved it still. Such an untapped well. There should be an adaptation!! #booksky💙📚 🪐📚

“If Ambrose and Gabriel are entitled to their secrets, she’s more than earned her right to keep this one.” #cityofstardust #booksky💙📚

Ooh, hard one. Changes based on the week I’m having I think, but: -A Darker Shade of Magic -Strange the Dreamer -The Ten Thousand Doors of January -Shark Heart -The Starless Sea #booksky💙📚 🪐📚

“I don’t want to be at the mercy of my emotions. I want to use them, to enjoy them, and to dominate them.” - Oscar Wilde, The Picture of Dorian Gray #booksky💙📚

It’s nearly December: the time of year I have to knuckle down and start only picking up the half-finished books on my ‘currently-reading’ GR shelf so I can have a clean slate for the new year 🙄 #booksky 💙📚 🪐📚

Bookish Checkpoint! - last read: Pageboy by Elliot Page - current read: Love Scenes by Bridget Morrissey - last book added to tbr: The Thirteenth Child by Erin A. Craig - next read: A Rose By Any Other Name by Mary McMyne #booksky 💙📚🪐

So hard to choose! I’m a sucker for dragons, but then the 12-year-old in me wants to say vampires. I also have a soft spot for mermaids, and don’t get me started on anything alien! But then, fae??? Yeah, this is a tough one! #BookishQOTD 📖🦋

What novels changed the way you see the world? - A Psalm For the Wild-Built by Becky Chambers - The Invisible Life of Addie La Rue by V.E. Schwab - Clap When You Land by Elizabeth Acevedo - Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel #booksky💙📚 #bookrecs

I think I’ve said it before, but it bears repeating, #Pageboy by Elliot Page really is the most well-written memoir I’ve ever read. The writing is beautiful, almost poetic. He has a real gift. Also, I wanna watch Whip It again. Love that movie. #booksky 💙📚

A Darker Shade of Magic, book 1, then the rest of the series if enjoyed. It’s the perfect balance of fantasy and realism to help new readers acclimate, with fascinating characters, witty prose, and an entrancing plot. #bookishQOTD 📖🦋 #booksky 💙📚🪐
