I do silly/fun doodles, watch a lot of horror movies, and stuff like that. I've done random comic work, and even a cover I'm still proud of for one of the movies in the Zatoichi box set.

Thanks, as you know, it's always a process with these things. But hopefully, at least with this diagnosis and pt, it will help.

Update: they didn't try at all at the ER, but a neurologist another doc sent him to diagnosed it quickly as a "mini-stroke."

You definitely do know how it goes, sadly. Also, thank you. This one involves "mysteriously malfunctioning limbs" so it's a real head-scratcher.

This one just moved to a nice new location in the past 6 months, so it was pretty stocked compared to other locations I've gone to prior to the bankruptcy news.

Haha! I just need to stop that voice in my head that wants to save the "good stuff" but like, I have a lot of good paper. I need to stop worrying I will run out.

Oh yeah, I was trying to get her to do this a long time ago, but there is no more time to wait! They haven't really even started the sales, and a lot of the store is empty already.

Now I'm dealing with a health issue for a parent, so I think it was some advance-warning karma being like, "No, you'll need these art supply dopamines."
comment in response to post
Good! There is never enough dopamine anymore.

Yeah, being an adult is lame. I'll get another type at some point, but for now we need the space.

Nice! Honestly, I keep finding myself enjoying that kind of aesthetic. There are random movies on Tubi that are from 4:3 transfers of made for TV movies, and it kind of takes me down memory lane.

Are they at least scheduling a make-up day?

It served me well, and hopefully will serve the next person well. It still has life in it.

Yeah, I think I got those after Gladiator, I think that was my first dvd.

It is, I just know some folks have like Criterion ones, but Blade, and The Proposal have gotten me through rough times.

This was difficult, but I had to be honest, this is still number one.

I have family in that region, more toward Johnstown, but I miss it so much. The food!

That is true!

Every day is some new wrinkle of things I wish I didn't know.

I remember when people going from 10 to 15 was taboo on prints. The margins were always narrow. I remember that one time at Baltmore when by the time we hit the con, a financial crisis started, and few people wanted to buy things. But it feels like it's like that all the time now.

Yeah, the hourly breakdown is not great. It used to be a loss-leader for commissions, and shows. But yeah, it's pretty bleak. Capitalism...

Yeah, and honestly, from what I hear, the pay isn't even worth it for the brand management stuff anymore.

I feel that, a friend was given notes from a publisher in a way that was highly disturbing, and I am not built to handle that. I don't think I ever was. I want to put out a couple ashcans, and an artbook, and I'll feel okay. But the need to create something tangible is still there.

That, and a lot of times when I feel the urge, a friend brings up a new horror story. It would have to be self-published, and at that point it would be for like 5 people, lol.

It's a whole different skill-set to look for medical professionals. I had zero experience, then in 2022, lots of experience. One thing is talk to your insurance company directly. Ask for who is 'in-network' and figure out if you need a referral. Then exhaust searching reviews.

It always feels appropriate anymore

Aw man, I hope you try again!

You've got this! I'm hoping this means we get to see some Tronne Bonne in your style! That would rule!

You're doing great work! I used to never draw women, and oddly, a famous relative of someone I knew pointed it out while looking through my portfolio at a convention years and years ago. So I really committed to working on it.

You definitely would have had a blast! Every chance I've had to be around him, I've learned so much. My friend Jake and I would just stand in front of his table at conventions and drink in all the knowledge. We even made a road trip to Gaijin Studios one year, and I learned more than in college.

Such a good line!

Nice! Same here, I have some other ones that I like a lot, but I wanted to try the 3H. The H is a bit darker than expected, but I love the texture of the Mono line.
