The exhibition will be followed by a closing event from 4pm-7.30pm in the Learning Loft, Wardlaw Museum (7 the Scores, KY16 9AR), bringing together artists, curators and researchers whose work relates and responds to photographers and themes in the exhibition.

On Friday 21 February the bus will be parked at the East Sands Leisure Centre Car Park (St Mary Street, KY16 8LH), where the exhibition will be on view from 10am-4pm.

The project is part of an ongoing research collaboration between Catherine Spencer and Vivian K. Sheng (Hong Kong University), which grows out of a Global Visiting Fellowship that Dr Sheng held with the School of Art History in 2021-22.

The show takes images made by the photographer Franki Raffles from her base in Edinburgh during the 1980s and 1990s as a starting point to explore relationships between gender, labour, education, care and activism in photography since the 1950s in Scotland and internationally.
