Canadian politics and the election, God help us. Also: German history, the NHL, and whatever amuses me. I've never voted Conservative. Can you say that? China is not your enemy. America is.

You've conceded that Carney is just like the Conservatives on all major issues. Thank you. I wish more Liberals were like you.

Putin is going to invade Canada now? Or are we fighting China? That's what I keep hearing, and I so wish we'd put that nonsense aside. The only one threatening us is the United States, with their stupid tariffs. Are we going to fight America?
comment in response to post
If you were "more left than liberals," you would NOT have a picture of Carney up as your avatar. You wouldn't. You're a Liberal and they're basically Cons. Just own it. Why pretend?
comment in response to post
What does Carney being a right-wing pro-business neoliberal have to do with liking democracy? He won so he's good? No. Carney also leaned into the 51st State BS to scare people to vote Liberal, very sleazy and dishonest, and still couldn't get a majority, thankfully.

Wrong. The NDP tax cut was better. It applied to everyone working by increasing the minimum exemption. Both the Lib and Con versions excluded the poorest Canadians, as always. He's a Con. And the NDP wanted to keep the Capital Gains increase to offset this cut. Next!
comment in response to post
My point is that Carney's policy is the same as the Cons, because he's just like them. Once, Libs liked immigrants and wanted more. But that was so last year. Next!

Trump called PP "a stupid loser." And said Carney is a guy "he can work with." Because he's a typical pro business rich guy. He's a Con. Next! It's hard to spin reality, I know.

So he's a Con. Next!

It wasn't poorly done. It penalized the richest Canadians, as it should have. And the Cons hated it, like Carney. Would have hurt him personally. So he's a Con. Next!
comment in response to post
Oh, let's hear the excuses! Where's my drink? OK, all set! So, he's a Con. Next!

So when Israel calls just about everything terrorism, this would apply to them as well?
comment in response to post
Why are you so happy about the mass starvation?
comment in response to post
So, you can never criticize Israel? Is that your solution? Israel is openly starving children, and they've killed tens of thousands of innocent people. And we should ignore all of it? Is this your suggestion?

Why did Carney listen to Poilievre?
comment in response to post
Hey. You stole my capital gains bit! Ah, yes, no more Labour Minister. But A.I. has its own. Priorities.

Then there is Carney being an investment banker. Lying about Brookfield being carbon neutral. Harper inviting him to be his finance minister–Cons always do that with progressive types. I hope you take something from this. You're welcome.

Let's compare, at this hour, off the top of my head, the Liberal and Conservative platforms, and Little Marko's past since you were paying attention during the election. Liberal/Conservative:

That's not exactly how it happened.

And the last bit is you projecting.

When did I say that? I didn't. The implication is and was that the college system is a for-profit scam. Why you're hung up on something I did not say, I don't understand.

Orange Jesus? You think I like Trump? If I'd wanted a Conservative in power in Canada, I would have voted for one. Why did you?

Poilievre spite? What are you talking about?

You can't be this dumb, can you?

I agree all those deals were bad for Canada and part of the problem with neoliberalism. Both parties sold out workers, and it's happened across the West the past four decades. But I hold the Liberals accountable, too. You're not interested in doing so, it would seem.

And what is wrong with a trade desl with China? Trudeau made one with Europe. And with the United States. And with Mexico. Your point is? And yes, it's clearly anti-China.
comment in response to post
Ah, yes. Harvard and all Ivy League schools and colleges in general in the United States are known worldwide for their affordability. There's been no debate about the student debt crisis or affordability. Maybe this is an excellent time to discuss this very real problem. Now, who's the stupid one?
comment in response to post
What would be great is if American stopped depending on private money sinks like Harvard and provided public and free college education for its people.
comment in response to post
Liberals have all been 100% on board with free trade, outsourcing, privatization, and foreign ownership. Both parties are economic neoliberals. Make sure you point your fingers at them, too.
comment in response to post
Enough with the anti-China propaganda. Direct your attention south of the border.
comment in response to post
Well, for one, he had the entire party against him, the media, the former president, money, and all were screaming constantly that American would be ruined if he won, whether he won the Presidency or lost it. Wasn't exactly an even fight. Lots of lies told. And he didn't fight hard enough.
