For years I've said that about social media. I guess I was lacking imagination before, now I agree with you.

I mostly remember yelling at the TV repeatedly, "I can't believe we are actually going to do this!" and "they don't have anything!"

Would he think it no problem if unidentified, armed, masked men shoved his wife or kids into an unmarked van and took off for parts unknown?

They are setting up a situation that is very similar to what Putin did in Russia. Nobody trusts anything and everyone questions what is real or fake. It’s unbelievable that they would dismantle a sound system, but it is one more building block in an authoritarian state.

C-suites can wake up and join other elements of civil society in standing up to the authoritarian entrenchment now underway, or watch the fundamental pillars of a transparent, market economy collapse

In NC the football coach at UNC is the highest paid public employee in the state. He gets $10 million a year.

It makes me feel kind of sad when I remember she has kids.

This is why I don't see him as DJT's successor. Trump is a con man who has convinced MAGA voters he cares about them. Vance barely conceals his contempt for them.

It gets even worse. For now the Federal Reserve is independent. When Trump starts looking for someone to blame & installs one of his ignorant stooges as Fed Chair Trump will have become the “borrower” AND the lender. It will kick the financial destruction & grifting/theft into high gear. Criminal!

He probably doesn't want to be left with 9 kids and no wife.

And the darn thing also isn't ready for prime-time. Meanwhile, the word is out from Rep. Joe Morelle from NY-25 that Muck is looking to steal ALL of the Library of Congress to train AI. Folks, I kid you not.

I hope so, but I wouldn't count on it.

If you're going to tax me, I should know how much I'm paying in taxes. When I buy something that has a tariff on it, the amount of that tariff should not be taxed by the state. I'm paying taxes on my taxes!

Republican senators and reps can put a stop to this right now. Congress has the constitutional authority 🇺🇸 over taxation and tariffs. Trump trying to use some “national emergency” hoax to take sole control of tariff policy. Congress must take back their stolen authority. Stop the steal. 🤨

And he expects us to believe he can negotiate with Putin.

I truly believe he gets off on it.

They'll need to tell us something and they can't just flat out say we stole your retirement.

They think if you're empathetic, people will use it against you. Empathy makes you easy to exploit.

Do not ignore the fact that the EO requires states to send their voter registration lists to DOGE and Musk for review prior to the election. It’s insane, but there are many states, including mine that will comply. This has to be addressed long before the mid terms

When they start black bagging US citizens for criticizing Trump or opposing him, it won't matter if its unconstitutional if you can't get a lawyer to represent you. There's a reason the phrase "where law ends, tyranny begins" is engraved on the front of the Justice Dept. This is why.

Closing 47 SSA field offices and firing 7,000 employees will guarantee longer wait times and prevent the elderly and eligible beneficiaries from getting the support they need. www.cbsnews.com/news/social-...
