One was a middle aged man with a daughter when this happened and one was a kid. He's doing fine actually pushing back on GOPers. Leave him alone. Everyone deals with trauma in their own way.

it's very frustrating now because you don't know *what* is going to retain value and the more I think about that the more I'm like NOBODY internationally is going to invest in this shit lol πŸ˜„πŸ’€

It won’t catch everything but Canada and the US share a lot of foods so maybe start here if the FDA isn’t going to FDA anymore www.canada.ca/en/services/...

These trans men. Do they ever do things like actual men do? Wear slippers and smoke a pipe? Read a newspaper in an armchair while drinking a martini their wife made? Taken part in a football riot? Set fire to their own farts?

honesrly, sometimes you just don't. Can't focus. Don't sleep. but keeping up with things like a potentially disasterous upcoming economy will be worth it because at VERY least you can prepare a bit.

Enough people who are not MoC on Fox are repeating this ad nauseam. Start there.

I'd personally prefer something that directly contributes to the candidate instead of Act Blue but there's...quite a lot that's wrapped up in that federal tax besides paying politicians you wouldn't want to get rid of.

πŸ’― there were *massive*, public pro-nazi rallies here and our national policy was idolizing Ford, isolationism and shooing away Jewish refugees.

8/ fin? Sooo, two biggest shapers of my inner world were parents that never really used sex/gender as a nail bat (either through distant parenting/self-absorption or just not having the drive to?) and the realization that *I* was not hetnorm. So, I cannot imagine ppl that vote against themselves.

7/ I went full throttle lefty after really considering conservative opinions and the actions of conservatives in government. I realized that this is all smoke and mirrors, these people do not have a genuine cell in their bodies, and everything!! was a euphemism for xenophobia and raiding money.

6/ And then i met some people that came out as trans. They were VERY worried, terrified even. And I just kinda went, "🀷uh, OK, you do you. good luck coordinating cute clothes!" because while having *some* conservative leanings, it never occured to me to police anothers' existence.

5/ It took *years* to figure out: "gosh. so..I'm not straight...I'm queer?? That rainbow flag is mine, too." And then I started to understand that if the chuds came after ONE, they came after all of us. I read some "Sister Claire," which has a transgirl as a main character, and THAT helped a lot.

4/ I'm not saying there aren't antitrans aros/aces/aroaces. It's just the particualr combo of no supervision, exposure or gears in my head really gave me a clean slate to judge people my whole life. When I found out I was aro ace, THAT was a paradigm shift and I started to think about things.

3/ I didn't know I was aro ace until middle age, so categorizing other people according to gender and sex was *never* on my mental radar. And it never came up in conversation except in rare circumstances. So IMHO that had a lot to do with not finding (imaginary) moral offense w/ trans people.

2/ This particular combo ensured my thoughts were never policed like a tradfamily. I had some contact with LGBT+ folks in college. Never *thought* about anything much to do with sexuality, gender ID, etc tho because, whelp, I was aromantic and asexual and these things never even came for myself.
