Decided to continue with #CarlaConnor 2018 (now a rewatch) to fully connect the dots. Picking up a few things I missed the 1st time. 👌 Will continue on thru 2023 at this point. Need to complete her story with Peter, which I halted before in order to go all the way back to Carla's arrival.

Well, Carla did find out the apt fire was Tracy's fault, leading to her miraculous recovery from her gambling addiction. And I believe it was revealed to her & others that she wasn't entirely to blame for the roof collapse at the factory. So not sure what is to be righted at this point...

Oh great! Well they revisited the gambling... long enough for Carla to sabotage her decent relationship with Nick! Brilliant. I don't think they were right for each other but I do believe he loved her & wanted to create a happy life with her. Trouble is he's a serial cheat himself, isn't he. 🤨

Finished the gambling sl yesterday. Very questionable sl imo. Esp when Carla just stops overnight. I understand the reasons behind her developing this addictive behavior, just not sure ppl quit so easily, even if the initial stress/anxiety is removed. Very odd. #CarlaConnor

2015 now. The apartment fire is a deep annoyance for me. I suspect the truth never gets revealed & everyone will forever blame Carla, including Carla. Having seen the factory collapse sl already, it actually makes more sense why Carla lost it. She'd experience that level of guilt & blame before.🥺

Speaking of Roy, I am over the moon to finally have Carla/Roy friendship in the mix. They are too adorable. They are the most unlikely friends yet it feels so perfect too. She challenges his comfort level with love. He challenges her with acceptance. Beautiful!

Finished 2014 yesterday. Didn't realize Peter was convicted first.😳 Powerful scene of Rob confessing to Carla. She did the only thing she could. Why ppl were upset with her baffles me. HE did the crime, not her. Tracy, ok. But that's Tracy. 🤷♀️

It all just seemed to be a way to misdirect the audience 1. to make Lisa a suspect, & 2. to give Carla the wrong impression. Lisa may have intentionally used it to distance herself from Carla to avoid more awkward interactions or it may have been a coincidence. I don't know.

Lisa's tears might have been less about the physical pain & more about the fact she's hiding her injury & deceiving Carla & others. I don't know. But they did make a point of having her still physically hurt when Carla went to give her a proper hug after buying the tickets. 🤷♀️

Carla reached around to squeeze her right side. She was touching her bruised area. There might be a level of emotional discomfort from Lisa too, however they showed her upset by her bruises in the next scene. I think the point was Carla assumed it was a rejection but it was actually physical pain.

I asked myself the same question & decided that, at the time of the moment, 1. Lisa had drunk lots of wine, & 2. Carla hugged her at shoulder level, not around the waist. When she put her arm around her at the bestro, it was around her waist, and she queezed her hand right at the injury spot.
