Like what??? Treating your employees like people and giving them the benefit of the doubt makes them actually want to come to work and do good work while they’re doing it??? Amazing.

Yesterday I visited a dog who was really good on her walk but then refused to go back into her crate and I spent 40 extra minutes at the visit trying to catch her Instead of getting in trouble for going over 20min, my boss apologized profusely, thanked me for trying, and then PAID ME EXTRA???

I’m so used to jobs where I do my best and the boss still finds a reason why I fucked everything up. But at this job, i’ll visit a dog who doesn’t wanna put on his harness or a house where I can’t find the cleaning supplies, and my boss is like “I’m so sorry. Thanks for doing your best.”

Anyway here’s a polite little jumping spider and an inchworm that I met 💕

Thats not to say that you can’t be nervous still; it IS freaky to have a small sharp yellow thing buzzing near your face. But I have had them land on my arm and just chill or take a sip of water off the condensation on my cup more times than I’ve been stung (which is 0 times, I’ve never been stung)

I’ve met lots of cool bees, wasps, beetles and spiders on my dog walking adventures. A lot of the bees and wasps specifically have been really chill with me if I hold still and let them check me out. Most of them mean no harm and just want to know what The Big Creature is

The good news is, Douglas (car) can be fixed. The bad news is, it’s really expensive. But then the other good news is that doing these repairs actually checks off a ton of problems he had so he’ll be in really good shape after.

I was feeling stuck and just wanting to make progress in literally any area of my life. Then I got this pet sitting job and I started having actual income to start paying back my parents and alleviating some of the stress that made art less fun. Then my car broke down.

Thank you 😂 his name is Douglas and he’s a shitty old man sometimes. But I love him so much

Douglas (the car) is an old man full of problems and just enough mischief to do things at inconvenient times

I guess the clover’s luck was that it happened in a client’s driveway and not on the highway and also that it was something simple, but like man you couldn’t have just not had it happen at all??

@stickerbunnies.bsky.social is my go-to :)

I also have an older suite that I don’t have to pay a subscription for. I mainly use photoshop for text because CSP’s text editor is pretty limited, Illustrator for making sticker die lines, and After Effects on rare occasions for stream layout stuff.

Pretzel represents self care in the form of learning and being kind to your mind. Her room is a treasure trove of various nuts, bolts, screws, and other various parts that they keep on hand for their latest project or repair!

Pretzel loves to make potions (mixing random things in the fridge together). She always tries to include her friends in her projects and loves to help others. Her chaos cannot be contained, but that makes her special!

My luck chooses whatever outcome is funniest

Was it 1:10 odds? Yeah, so not crazy. But also 3 in a row??? I’m usually the person who takes 1000 encounters on a 1:250. And did I need 3? It doesn’t even evolve! It’s giving “I went to GoFest and I got a shiny of literally every Pokemon except the ONE I wanted.” Which has also happened to me.

Pet sitting is going good, but now I'm back to posting little guys! Let's finish Crouton's introduction with a sticker!

On rainy days, they love to take their boat out on puddles. It's fun to see if they can sail faster than their friends! Whether they're scaling the highest peaks (climbing the leg of a chair) or exploring the depths (getting stuck in the sink), they're always up for a challenge!

Crouton loves helping out wherever they can and often rides around on their friends' shoulders to supervise! They are very good at giving directions and following a recipe.

They would definitely be very squishy!

For me, it helps when they walk. Something about them ZOOMING freaks me out. I still remember working stock crew at an Aldi and one came strolling down the aisle towards me at such a casual pace that it looked like it was just doing some shopping lol gave me a chance to observe it without panicking

I long to be one of those artist who posts like twice a year and everyone just goes feral for it. Or… well I wanna keep making and sharing art…. I think maybe I just want people to go feral lol

It's always a good day to go for a walk with Shay!
