The goal is not only to download from the web onto the Google Drive, but also to keep the file(s) from being downloaded to my laptop. IOW, the Google Drive will *not* be mirrored/synched with the laptop. We maintain an archive that is now too large for the laptop to handle.

Q&A is over. Grant is now letting us know about some of the prizes being given away at the closing reception, which will be in the Riverside Ballroom. He also mentioned something that had been said a few days ago: this is the largest assembly of astronomers EVER. #AAS245

One of the lessons learned is that we should not be using proprietary software. One of the driving forces in adopting python was the cost of IDL. Another factor is how much easier it is to find support and help for open source. #AAS245

Acquired funding from 2020 and 2024 NASA ROSES included a call specifically for software maintenance. What helped this happened is talking to program officers. The Open Source Tools, Frameworks and Libraries call was key for this. #AAS245
