I don't think the issue is the viewing figures in the UK (it was always appearing at the top of the charts). Maybe it didn't do as well in the US as they would have liked.
Fingers crossed there are some Daytime Emmy wins to prove how wrong they were to get rid

Suggestion: When adding an image you can confirm as part of the submit process that its portfolio or not. You could even have an option to preset on and off. That only affects the images added by flashes
