Working to this album, today: www.youtube.com/watch?v=uCbE...

Got my inbox down to 1 unread - please, no-one write to me for at least a few days XD

I walk past these guys every Saturday on the way to volleyball: (I wish I could find the artist, but random graffiti covers up the signature, quite annoyingly).

Construction workers across the way are *really* cranking the radio today - so far, I've heard glimpses of Hall & Oats, Tom Cochrane and Belinda Carlisle between the jackhammers etc

Four kinds of cheesecake this week!! Reason being that I'm celebrating something that I'll mention soon (not publishing-related stuff). However, my excitement has now officially been overwhelmed by sugar and diary XD [Insert Homer's "64 slices of American cheese" gif]

Another shot from the climb up to Matsuyama Castle:

Jinjer played Festival Hall (here in Melbourne) a couple of nights ago - and they were *monstrously* good! I took a few pics, and though I had to use the digital zoom on my phone (and so the pics aren't great) I got lucky with the timing of one :D

Still new! XD

Just a time-zone bump :)

I should probably promote Book 1 or the prequel - since that's where a new reader would likely to start :D (The Amber Isle was recently described as “pulp fantasy with a modern flair”, which is perfect, especially as I had Indiana Jones in mind when planning the series :D)

Friends, if you're keen for the ebook of RECALL and you want to avoid buying from the big river, you can get the epub direct from the publisher, and at a discount, right here: sobelobooks.com/shop/p/recal...

Not again - some turkey ranting about how 'woke' has infected publishing, lol.

Available at last! (Never's last adventure was way back in 2021) But he's back to cut some Amouni down to size in 'Blood of the Guardian', his 9th adventure :) (Universal link can be found below) ashleycapes.com/2025/02/26/b...

Got an acceptance at Modern Haiku - something I have tried to manage on and off for maybe a decade? (Feels nice to get get over the line, especially in the lead up to my next collection)

The Indie Poetry Sale is LIVE!!! So many books to choose from, so little time! Grab your copies before the sale ends. 📚 Participating authors, feel free to share your book banners below! Kemreads.com/indie-poetry-sale #indiepoetrysale

Available very soon now - have submitted 'Blood of the Guardian' to retailers :)

Osaka Castle 🏯 // #Japan #Photography

Comforting to have a new Killswitch album to listen to while I work today - time to finalise some edits for Never #9!

Blood of the Guardian is getting closer! Including an audiobook, though that will follow eBook and print editions somewhat later: (Art by Lin Hsiang & title design by Christina P)

More laneway stickers and graffiti from Melb:

Currently working on designing the banners for each Indie Poetry Sale participant! Don't they look cool so far? It may seem like a lot of unpaid work to some, but I enjoy graphic design and I really love doing this. 1/2

Kyoto - taken from the ryokan driveway, on one of the sunny Spring days from last year:

Today will mostly be about chocolate, by the looks of things!

55 days to go! I don't think I'll count each and every day (or even week) downwards from this point - but it's still nice to have a date ready to go :D (Watercolour painting by the amazing Marcel Mosqi)

Another book-related batch of awfulness online and I have no idea who any of these people are. Ultimately, I'm glad. However, if I were more informed, that way I could at least avoid accidently supporting the bad eggs.

Anyone got a sale or a new release to share? :D

Three matches of volleyball last week - two on hardcourt, one on sand. My knees very, very much appreciated the match on sand! (However, I was garbage there - could barely jump XD)

One thing I sometimes forget about the '90s is how desperate 'fans' were to accuse (or prove) that a band was selling-out. And not even for something like licensing a song to an evil corporation (of course, usually a decision by the owner of the rights to the music - not always the band) 1/3

Most of me is now Biscoff.
