Officially the first person to mention Front Mission 5 on Bluesky. I like robots and games, especially ones that are turn based and where I can make numbers go big. he/him

this guy is an evil man but let’s not start pretending sending texts about chilling to your roommates is bad

A lot of good suggestions in the replies, but there's only one correct answer to this: "I don't want to see a ghost / it's the sight that I fear most / rather have a piece of toast / and watch the evening news" -Des'ree, "Life"

I think a big part of the "Bluesky is dead" / "no it isn't" discourse comes down to a difference in what people expect from it. Those who enjoy it are using it socially - as social media - while those crying that it's dead only care about "engagement" and promoting themselves or their "brand".

People who are good at Mario Kart: I've done SO MANY knockout races where I've been in the lead for the entire race only to get hit by a bunch attacks in literally the last 10 seconds and end up coming 3rd - 5th. Is there ANYTHING I can actually do about this or is this just how the game is?

"Oh Yager, you're so graceful, like a gazelle vomiting on a ballerina" -a sentence my brain formed and my mouth said for some reason (talking to my cat)

I mean, frankly, who gives a shit? There's 34 million active accounts. The site went wide and has an active user base that is doing fine. Mark Cuban going "I DON'T LIKE IT PEOPLE ARE MEAN TO ME :(" doesn't mean anything. It's just another Fortune/Bloomberg/etc piece that folks forget after a week

I started Resident Evil 6 last night because it's the only mainline Resi game I'd never played and for some reason I already owned it on PS. I was aware of the game's bad reputation, but figured it couldn't be THAT bad. I was wrong, holy shit this game is fucking dreadful, what were they THINKING

Huh, turns out it wasn’t DEI, but execs yet again thoughtlessly chasing trends for big payouts (rather than just letting their devs do what they do best), and nearly destroying the project. Whoda thunk???

My feelings covering Summer Game Fest, in LA, as the daughter of a Mexican immigrant. pentopixels.com/article/summ...

they call it house of leaves because i turn 360 degrees and leaves the house

Just found out that Jennifer English isn't the only Baldur's Gate 3 alum in Clair Obscur: Devora Wilde (Lae'zel) voices Clea! (Also Shala Nyx, who voices Sciel, played some minor characters in BG3 too)

I tried the demo for Mecharashi yesterday, the game that started life as a new Front Mission before being rebranded, and I....don't love it. Now granted, part of this is because I played on Steam Deck and it doesn't have controller support (for some reason) so I have to use the trackpads, but...

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 joins the very small list of games I've beaten on the hardest difficulty. It's in esteemed company, with XCOM 1&2, Doom 2016, and Quake 2 (specifically the PS1 version) Oh also a bunch of Guitar Hero / Rock Band games

As with every year, my only hope for the PC Gamer show is XCOM 3, and as with every year, I am going to be disappointed

The ROG Xbox Ally X looks like a nice bit of a kit, but I really don't understand what the Xbox brand even is anymore. It's just...they've just rebranded PC gaming, haven't they? That's what Xbox is now?

If I was a dev and I had spent years working on a game and my boss went on stage and looked like this much of a jackass I'd be so pissed

More developers need to do this and push the announcement of games back until they're ready. They used that extra 20 minutes very well and the game looks great.

Honestly regardless of what I thought of the rest of it, the guy being allowed on stage wearing a "Make FPS Great Again" cap, in this political climate, really soured the entire Summer Game Fest show for me. Be better than this, @geoffkeighley.bsky.social
