immediately thought the 1st image looks suspiciously like @suule.bsky.social work, was not wrong!

oh, and yes to digging out historical .mods! Love to hear things people have made over the years. One day I hope to get my A1200 out of limbo in the UK and pray the HD is still readable. Some interesting things on there that would be great to show the world after nearly 30 years laying dormant...

that and I used the sample in one of my tracks 🤡

damn it, I got the quote in the wrong order 🤦‍♂️😂 which considering how many times I've watched that movie was a noob mistake

"I have come here to kick ass and chew bubblegum" Nice .mod 👍

Very interested to try this out when it finally drops!

3rd screenshot has the grain plugin at a slight angle and it's just 🤮 😂 Excited about Zebra 3, been playing with Zebralette 3 a bit, so something even more powerful should be interesting!

That wasn't a fart... anomalous oscillations!

Super cool! And thanks for Defekt greet <3 I'm curious about how amazing was the #1 entry to have beaten this!

I'm not at all surprised. Very good example of oscilloscope music, which is a beautiful combination of art and science that going to appeal to demoscene people massively.

So many future astronaut tech enthusiasts, I never realised how popular that is! 😂

I have noticed a slew of really random follows on my audio plugin business profile. They look like they would never be interested in my wares, they never engage with the small amount of things I post. My guess is they're using the old bird-site playbook of "follow en masse to gain followers"? 🤷‍♂️

Awesome! Absolutely loved this track way back, always blew me away on the dancefloor when it was still unreleased and when I finally got it on vinyl I almost crapped my pants in the record store 😂

A machine I really wanted back in the late 80s, but then I got an Amiga 500 instead. I never see them come up on auction sites, but I bet they command a silly price now so fulfilling my dreams 35 years on is unlikely :(

It's a strong contender for "all time favourite SID tune" for me.

Two issues: it allows him/his bootlickers to invoke Godwin's law defence. Alternatively: he's just neurodivergent, stop being ignorant! Although I know plenty of NDs who have never once "accidentally" done something that looks exactly like a Nazi salute 🤷

Am I missing something that this just makes US made gear less attractive for everyone else and punishes US based musicians trying to get hold of rest of world made gear? I don't know if someone like inMusic could start production in each territory to avoid tariffs? Probably not.

Wasn't until I checked it out in stackblitz that I understood what this was about. My first thought about what a BS user counter might be was way off base 🤣

Nice! Not really a shame to install PowerToys, it's one of the first things I install on a fresh Windows install, mostly for the Alt-Space "search" bar, but lots of other useful things.

The UK price for Apple Music is £10.99/month. I pay for Tidal from a Croatian bank, so I get their rate, which is probably cheaper than UKs - 5.99€/m base + 4€/m for the Rekordbox add-on. But my Apple and Sony Playstation accounts are still stuck in the UK, so £££ cost + conversion charges 😬
comment in response to post
Nope... Stuck having to pay the UK price because idiotic companies like Apple and Sony have no concept that people might move. Even with the DJ sub Tidal is a better price.
comment in response to post
Cool. I was gutted when Tidal made the Rekordbox integration a paid extra. I might jump ship if Apple Music does lossless and works on Android well.

Not really a FOSS license at all as there are some restrictions, such as not being allowed to use the software in public performances without the author's permission 🤯

How many South Africans who grew up in that era do you know? Do all they see blacks as lesser than themselves? In my experience, this is complete fucking bullshit and you just want it to be true. Hate Musk as a "fokken poes" as they would say, not because it's convenient to apply a stereotype.
comment in response to post
It's very easy to misunderstand the dynamic of domestic help in South Africa as a foreigner. A lot of it is coloured by unhelpful terminology they use(d). Not that I don't despise Musk, but I think this is not the smoking gun you think it is.

I had a similar thought about how government is supposed to be run and my understanding that "civic classess" are something you guys do in high school; so I got to wondering if the DoGE boys had been asleep during those classes, or just willfully ignored what they learned to please their boss?

Curious to know which presets you see with high load. The few minutes I've spent with it so far CPU usage seemed not too bad.

off topic (and totally understandable mistake for someone who's mother tongue isn't English), but my inner pedant can't help bringing up that the idiom is, "Nip it in the bud". It has botanical roots. Hopefully some other readers will be one of today's 10k for this tidbit of info. 😄

Possibly a stock thing? Arturia old stock pre-tariff, and will likely go up in price once it's all sold and they need to restock with tariffs applied. Pure speculation though.

Oof, so difficult to choose... Has to include Arkanoid. Sanxion loader for sure. Wizball. Commando. Ocean loader 2. But so many missing... The music from the 9 sprites demo recently was really strong, but it's not as ingrained as the classics yet.

Just remembered why it's always best to be as pleasant as possible with customer support. Asked them if the email today was a mistake; it wasn't. Told them politely I can't justify that increase and will need to cancel. The result: almost exactly the same monthly price AND 3 months free! 😎
