Valid to think that, but just from a Dev point of view it makes more sense for smaller scale testing first before doing a wider scale test later 🤷♂️

This lets them see if they need to upgrade server stuff from a baseline level. that's my thinking anyway from a Software Tester point of view

I'd assume there will likely be another test to test out the servers with Cross platform. Given it was a network test, it was probably to see what kinda load could be handled. If they had put it out in cross play then servers started crashing it wouldn't of gone well.
