Then we will juuuuusstt cover the ginger in enough soil and add a nice label so we don't forget what we planted!
Give it a nice drink of water then set in a sunny spot or under grow lights.
Move outside in the warmer weather and dig up when the leaves of the plant die back. Enjoy fresh ginger!

Next you want to get a wide pot. You could it wider than it is deep because from my experience ginger likes to grow outwards more than downwards.
Fill it almost full with dirt and place the ginger on top.

So first you want to go to the grocery store and find a piece of ginger with a little node on it like this. This means the ginger already wants to grow so it'll become a plant for you!!
