For the sun I use a Baader ND5 foil filter + either a red (mediocre seeing) to green (good seeing) filter in front of the camera. Thanks!

Not only that, but even the slightest knowledge of the nightsky will make it clear that the moon is much smaller compared to the angular distance of Castor and Pollux.
