@moderation.bsky.app please reconsider the label applied to @gudulemartens.bsky.social.
The account's posts cannot be fairly considered intolerant. Look at her posts carefully. Consider them without bias. They are fai and reasoned, not intolerant.

Do try to grab a screenshot next time. They're frequently quite trigger happy with the block button!

Is it possible for others to appeal on your behalf? I've not seen any posts from you that could fairly be called intolerant.

Can you provide links for those 2 claims? We would ask TRAs to back up their claims, we should be able to do the same for our own.

My music, mostly 70s prog-type stuff, is way too recent for my son. He's into 20s, 30s and 40s stuff. No idea how that happened!!!!

Sorry, I was talking about the point of the article. Didn't mean to imply it was any message or focus of the film itself.

Never seen it but it looks good. I think the point is that many of the real-life women the characters are based on came out as lesbian or bi. Which these days is no great surprise but a shame that they had to hide it back then.
I don't think the rest of the alphabet soup is relevant to the story.

PDAs? Sorry, I don't know that acronym.

Well, to be fair, transphobes might care. But we were talking about gender critical people, not transphobes.
GCs, I would hope, are not actually transphobic. They just hold the protected belief that it's not possible for humans to change sex and they don't want males invading female spaces.

I appreciate your well-argued and inciteful response.
comment in response to

Now this strikes me as a clear example of intolerance, and maybe even abuse.
comment in response to
post
Gender is not the same as sexuality. GC's are not by nature bothered by shows of consensual affection. What they are concerned with is males invading female safe spaces.
So I'd guess their reaction would be minimal.

Since it does support my views. I should subject it to the same level of scrutiny as evidence that doesn't.
Sadly I'm not qualified to critique it beyond the suggestion that the rate might be worse if they had not had such surgery.
comment in response to

That supports my views. The TRAs would probably say it's due to insufficient affirmative care.

Thanks. Seems like a useful site to know.

Indeed, particularly when they try to obscure all record of the original name.
Sadly, again, not being on Xitter I can only see the first post, not the thread. Presumably there are links to more authoritative sources somewhere in the thread?

Yes I know how to use Google and I did google this briefly. I'm at work so can't spend too much time on it but I failed to find any mention. You clearly have seen something so maybe you can help?

Certainly not on anything concerning gender, I agree with you on that. But I'm still not going to spread the drugs ad-homonym without backup evidence (and it's irrelevant to the truth or otherwise of what he's asserting anyway).
I just want to ensure my position is robust.
comment in response to

Links to evidence for those assertions? I like to ensure I can back up claims that support as well as having good references for debunks of those that refute my position.

I hate the fact that the only traditional media to cover this side of this issue (which is not an inherently left/right one) is on the right. I find myself siding with people who I fundamentally disagree with on most other topics and find my own side disowning me.

Thanks for unrolling that for me. I've sent it to my Kindle so I can endure it later.

Sadly, since I'm not on Xitter, I can't see Jolyon's thread. But I found my way to this:
www.erininthemorning.com/p/trans-yout...
which references the 16 people claim. But I haven't managed to get to a root source as yet.

I'd love to see the evidence for the '16 children died due to the Cass Review' statistic. If robust, it would be quite compelling.
comment in response to

Could you give a reference for the '16 people' statistic?

Sorry. Just messing about as I'm bored. These are the 'explanations' I've heard. Obviously they fall apart at the slightest examination.

Obviously they were developed by people in on the secret.

But hang on, that still shuts business for 1/7 of the year! Workers should be happy with a day off a month.

To the naked eye, and through the eyepiece, they don't. Generally you have to take several long-exposer shots, stack them and process them to bring out the colours.

Bought out the colour nicely there. What processing did you do?

How is that astonishing? Business trips will take the vast majority of the flights and if you take 1 business trip, you are likely to take several.

I had awful letters and couldn't make anything more than 4 1-point letters words. Adding ERS was the best I could do and it is a quality word!
comment in response to

This is where TwoWords would become even better if it had the ability to show the dictionary definition of the word we have just posted. So often it's just a collection of letters to us and we could actually learn the meaning if we had that link. Could be a paid feature?

Many children dislike what is happening to their bodies during puberty, a time when they are also coming to terms with their gender. Blocking it (unless it's happening before their bodies are ready, as is the case with precocious puberty) is not the solution.
comment in response to

Not from me they're not. I just posted a truly embarrassing 24!

The word 'soon' is doing a lot of heavy lifting there!
comment in response to

I'm guessing the ruling allows their use for treating precocious puberty for any child suffering from it (trans or not) but not for blocking normal puberty.
If so, that seems reasonable to me.

The complaint I've heard is that electric arc furnaces don't get hot enough to produce the highest quality steels that are needed in many industries.
I don't know if it's really an issue but it sounds plausible.

Yep, read that on wikipedia today while checking it was the story I was thinking of. Read a few Silverberg books as well when the local library was my book source in my teens. Happy days.

Love the game. Just needs a dictionary link for the submitted word. So often we find a good word just by trying different combinations, but have no idea what that word means. It could be a bonus in the paid version and would make paying even more attractive.

Very cool!
But where's the dictionary link? I've asked them several times over the years, including on the previous version, and it's always 'planned' or 'in the pipeline'. It would make the game so much better!
