Mike, I’m afraid it IS “werewolf” as in “where’s that wolf”? “Were” derives from an old, old word for “man”. You still see the same root in words like “virile”. But you do you, Mike. Prescriptivism is dumb, and not based on linguistic science, take it from a linguist
