Mrs Talan and I are flying out to Canada in a few days for our birthdays. To save space and weight I'm dusting off my modded 3DS. I haven't played Chrono Trigger since 2009. With this being it's 30th anniversary, it's the perfect time to revist it. I've already got the soundtrack stuck in my head!

Some examples: I've never beaten Sonic 2 with all emeralds without save states, can you believe that? I never finished Batman Returns as a kid, always failing at the same boss. I'd love to do a Dark Aeons run of Final Fantasy X. Rayman Legends, I just want to replay. I love that game.

I've been keeping a list of classic games I want to replay, finish or challenge myself on for a while. This month seems like an ideal time to start playing through them (even if it feels a bit like a midlife gaming crisis...) I'm really looking forward to revisiting some old favourites.

I turn 40 this month. How quickly the time has gone scares me - I'm sure I was 30 only a couple of years ago, now I'm staring at the end of another decade.
