Definitely the Mega Drive for me. It was my first home console, and still something I revisit games on frequently.

Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. Armadillos!

I'd heard that, yes. I really need to back and replay it - I beat it before they reworked the final boss and ending, and I'd like to see how they've improved it. Their original version was...not great.

I would've loved to see Jodie with some better writing. I quite liked her as The Doctor.

There was an episode in this series that reused 'Sad Mad in a Box' from Matt Smith's first series. All it did was make me remember how much better the series used to be.
For all his faults, I think Steven Moffat's tenure was my favourite of NuWho. I think I need to go rewatch the good stuff.

Sorry, I'm just winging it here.

Look, don't get in a flap here - the bill is definitely due 😋

I get what you mean, although it sounds like you've done some amazing things already. What do you feel like you wanted to have achieved by now?
I posted more of my thoughts on the thread - kids are the big thing that we've had to write off, it's just left us a bit rudderless.

Oof. Where do I send the bill for the pun based trauma?

I don't know - it sounds like Nintendo underestimated the demand for Japan, they were sold out there for a really long time during preorders.
I managed to snag one from the Nintendo Store (at Mrs Talan's urging, I think I might've held off otherwise), but demand has definitely been high.

Mrs Talan and I have started travelling more, broadening our horizons, spending more time with friends and family, trying new hobbies and having fun, but I find myself still really struggling with that question.

I give blood as often as I can - I started to try get over a phobia of needles, but now I like the feeling of doing something good.
Volunteering is another possibility, but working full time doesn't leave a lot of free time for it - it's something I definitely want to do more of as I get older.

Having kids isn't a possibility - one of the tough things we've had to face in the last couple of years - and neither of us t feel cut out for adoption. As this the main thing society sees as 'valuable' for you to leave behind, we've really struggled to come to terms with it.

Absolutely. Encourages these scalping bellends as well. At least with the PS5 they were left holding the bag (and a lot of unsold PS5's).

Pretty much. That and cost of living - tickets priced at £80-100 a head for a band just isn't doable for a lot of people right now.
God, I remember in the mid 2000's when tickets were £40-£50. It's ridiculous how much they've climbed in the last 20 years.

No different than setting up a death coaster to dump park goers into your competitors parks (thereby driving their value down) in Rollercoaster Tycoon, surely?

Same, probably for Steam though. I was a bit disappointed at how quickly they announced it after the western release though 🫤

It was great. I don't want to spoil it as well, but I got genuinely quite sad at the funeral, as well.

I've finished one - the first DS entry. I need to get back to them, but they are massive time sinks 😅

Wow! I hadn't heard of Caravan Hearts, I'll have to find the translated ROM to drop on my 3DS, thanks. I did find a translation of the 3DS rerelease of DWM2 recently that I want to try out.

I'm at about that's completion level myself, but I did 11 on the Switch a few years ago. You'll have a blast 😁
I'm also partial to the Dragon Warrior Monster spin off games, have you tried them?

Indeed, and horrible though it might be as a name, fana referring to him as 'The Mountain that Writes' aren't wrong. I worry about his health issues.

He's also dicked his fans over for so long I'm not sure I'm even *bothered* about finishing the series.

Christ, has it really been that long? I remember reading the hardback of Dance with Dragons back when it came out.
I've got to say, I've given up ever finishing the books. I don't think he's ever going to release the last two - other forms of media are much more profitable for him now.
