In recent years I learned you can actually freeze rice while maintaining the texture. You press it into roughly palm sized blocks and freeze. Reheat in the microwave at 500w for 3 mins one side, then flip and same again for 2 minutes. Holds up quite well

737-800 can’t dump fuel so normal thing to do would be fly in circles to use it up. Seems like maybe there was smoke/fire in the cabin which would explain why the pilots did not do this.

tbh I think the source analysis and media literacy are more important than ever with AI generated content etc, so you'll be advantages imo. I'm in the humanities and I actually do use LLMs, but only for small Python scripts and Excel formulas, never for knowledge acquisition.

Oh thanks Josh, now I get to remember that Pentiment had the most impact on me of any bit of media for years and lament the fact that it was brought about by such a unique set of circumstances that it seems unlikely that we will be blessed with anything like it again :(
