It's annoying how well I play when I don't care about the xp vs when I do, I had a win streak up to 2670 and crumbled from my own pressure. Def should work on that for further grind

I still need to hack my 3DS to get HGSS/platinum/BW2 since those games are like 5000kr in total on Finn... Currently I'm on my 3rd run of Black since 2022 because the first two runs I never really finished the post game, as well I didn't go for the dex, but now I'm focusing on both

but, I do think the amount of tournaments just further accentuates the problem. the scene is growing overall, but doesn't feel like it because it is so bottom heavy. more and more players are getting into the game, which is lovely but people higher up leave and there is noone to fill those shoes

Self improvement and playing tourneys with friends.
It used to be about getting higher in comp, but it stopped since there can be a lot of accessibility issues regarding private servers which makes you need to force connections with other people (unless you're lucky), which I didn't feel like doing.
