youtu.be/ppYMKMuDp58?...

Seen this going around but I’m Reposting it with the full alt text bc everyone deserves to read this glorious reply from Boy George

Bruno likes to use every part of the couch except for the cushions.

I don't think there is an artist that I've listened to more than Laura Jane Grace over the last several years and here is another absolutely gorgeous example of why that is.

Today I noticed I was singing quite loudly to REM while driving through town with my windows down. There may be nothing as profoundly uncool as that...then I noticed the same thing happened with the Wallflowers and that's when I realized I had taken uncool to an entirely different level.

Francis getting some vitamin D.

What do you say to a beer, Norm? I'd be nervous if I was you. Rest well, George.

I happened upon this song a year ago or so. It's much older than that and since I'm also old as hell, I don't really seek out new music that often but sometimes it finds me. Anyway, it's the bee's knees... youtu.be/j7Uvqs6xmsY?...

Well go figure...I did nothing to this brisket except trim and rub. No wrap, 16 hours at 225, rest in foil for 2 hours. It was one of the best I've ever made. All the meat juices followed by all the meat sweats.

Pretty awesome morning in northwest Wisconsin on this fine Sunday. After 16 hours, the brisket appears edible, but we won't know until the 2 hour rest.

Ahh brisket...spending $70 to babysit a piece of meat for 14 or so hours in the hopes that it doesn't turn into shoe leather. We meet again my meat nemesis.

What a cool event the Decades Dance was last night. People from 15-80 dancing and supporting the historical society. Jake Rudh is so damn great at what he does and we're grateful for all the fine Twin Cities people that made the trek. Support your libraries and museums, all. Community is love.

I'm at a dance. A decades dance with large screen videos. It's gonna be a god damn hoot. I'm repping my beat up CBGB t that I got married in. Blondie was playing when I walked in. This is gonna be a hoot.

It would just be me playing you tube videos and telling everyone, quite emphatically, why this song is so good, then thinking of a better song, and skipping to it, never finishing a whole song, pissing everyone off, and then it's just me, alone, listening to music.

Holy shit. I just happened to switch stations and Alkaline Trio's Warbrain was on. I forgot how goddamn fantastic that song is.

This is cool. Ike Reilly and his band rehearsing in the greenroom at the Colbert show. youtu.be/fFUC-QRnGQY?...

I'm not handy. Today I hung a door. Then my awesome friends came over and helped hang some more doors. Our basement is nearing completion and I can't wait. Breaking bread and gaming with my tribe fills my soul with joy. Now we frolic!

Proud of my state on this fine election day.

Every time I put my playlist on shuffle and The Dead Boys come on, I'm reminded of how they were a near perfect band...at least in my 3 chord , 3 minute head. Also, don't let me down today Wisconsin, seems like there's a lot riding on today's vote.

I don't particularly care--nor should the Democrats--whether or not protecting trans people is popular in the heartland. Even if it alienates the "moderates," it's the right thing to do, and the Democrats should make every effort to do it. Sometimes what the people need is to be led and not lead.

Spiffy stickers, bookmarks, and more Iron Druid and the best doggos ever! Thank you @hornedlarkpress.com and @kevinhearne.bsky.social

This. All. Damn. Day.

Hell yes, Bucky! 2-1 in the last three natty chips. I'm not even much of a hockey fan, but that was a damn fine game.

Penalty goal with 18 seconds left...my goodness. Go Badgers!

Hell yes. Good on ya, Dropkicks.

No matter how old I get, unplowed roads still make me giddy. It's only a two mile drive to work, but there was much drift bustin'
