I got called *stupid* and *dumbest m-f* the other day by some guy... hmmm... 4 college degrees... I'm not the smartest person here but I can't be stupid since I at least passed all my exams! πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

He wasn't forced out. He needed to learn to follow the [neutrality] rules of the job, like being in any job, and he refused. Who the hell is he to decide himself which Dems are asleep at the wheel? That's *my* vote, not his decision. Hands off the scale, buddy. My vote - my fair choice.

Surely there's a hotel that could open its doors? Or better yet... it's June. College dorms are now empty. Use those as barracks. And maybe local pizza and coffee shops can offer some free grub. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

You know what this makes me remember from the 60's and 70's: the sit-ins. We loved those. We had those in my high school. They were calm. We chanted some. And we sang... John Lennon Imagine. We resisted going to class... but we sat & sang... on the hallway stairs. Sounds silly now...

Ooh yes, it would. All those local associations...

His problem is he doesn't understand the job descript. He's trying to change the job instead of changing his choice of jobs. Many jobs require neutrality. Court judges. Psychologists. Financial advisors & pundits. Othr jobs require advocacy. Lawyers. Legislators. Doctors. PACs. Hogg needs to choose.

Exactly. He needs to pick what he wants to do. He can even run for local office to start his career. But he can't have a hand in both cookie jars. Gov't has hard ethics boundaries. DNC's job description is neutral administration - can't get in the way of the voters' choices in the primaries.
comment in response to post
Or a 3rd separate lane: he should run for a county commission or state seat. He doesn't understand govt: checks and balances and hard silo boundaries... for heavy ethics reasons.
comment in response to post
Exactly. It's a neutral job requirement. Look what happened to Debbie W and Donna Brazille.

But still don't get distracted. @lawrenceodonnell.msnbc.com said it tonight. Trump is creating outrage so the MSM swings all it's cameras on LA instead of Congress. Sen Finance does not yet have the votes for the Big Bill. They're gonna try to slip it thru while cameras are not on them.

Trump knows full well he can't use the Marines the way it's feared. This part is all "show of force". Show-of-force is used all the time overseas as a scare tactic. Marines aren't even trained to do American crowd control. Marines *can* stand guard around the federal buildings tho. That's it.

Yes we need to welcome them back with no judgment about their previous decisions.

Not just Epstein. They're getting crushed by the tariffs... buyers' remorse.

And I thought Kevin McCarthy was the worst R Speaker. And before that, I thought Paul Ryan was the worst. R Speakers keep getting worse and worse... πŸ™„

Great way to put this. Yes, you can see his sadistic nourishment as he watches his hate in action.

But who is gonna verify to the E-3's whether the Order is indeed unlawful? Poor kids won't know the difference and they'll get crushed.

Well, they may not actively be targeting the Midwest but Midwest farms are suffering differently bc their farm workers are not showing up for work out of fear.

Well... the damage is now already done. 😑 Why didn't they err on the side of cyber-caution !?!

Good. PA needs a grace. My primary ballot wasn't counted. My car broke down & I could not deliver my ballot to my Dropbox as I planned on Monday. By the time I got towed, got a rental, I drove to a closeby post office, mailed my ballot on Monday, postmarked Mon for Tues primary but wasn't received.

Another word for this: Representative Democracy, not Direct Democracy. Miller thinks we're in a Direct. No, our Framers realized a Direct Democracy would end up "mob rule" with no one leveling the tone/morals. Hence, they made an equal Congress & Courts, checks & balances. Mob rule would b horrible.

I'm not sure.... we won't have much time. We have sooooo much to fix... bills to write, laws to try and pass that will put guardrails up around our democracy.

Very good point. TY. Fighters demand everyone fight - big outward fight... and that's unreasonable. Some dissociative / micro-resisting is all some can manage...

And baseline daily low-boiling trauma is a poor underpinning for daily challenges. My computer isn't working - trying to set up new one, car broke down - currently wheel-less & trapped, unusual cold weather - refuse to turn heat back on in May, ...the uphill climbout is harder w a trauma base...

They can't do math. They said it costs 4 cents to make. But it is *used* millions of times over as it passes from hand to hand, store to store, bank to bank... all along the way gaining compounding interest value to whoever is holding it. 😑

We have this online. 2 or 3 very small weekly news outlets. 2 of the 3 grew wildly popular into writers becoming real reporters. They do NOT cover national politics but all other local stuff that's in these other comments. They dispatch themselves to car wrecks, and local weather disasters, etc.

BLUF: So it won't be actual cuts to Medicare like Trump promised wouldn't happen. It will be back door triggers that freeze Medicare thru other programs... πŸ€” Of course they'll try to be sneaky... 😑

I could be very wrong here... but I don't recall The Boss performing music for any political event in 2024. He was on tour. What he did do was film a TV commercial ad in a flannel shirt in a bar saying to vote for Democracy and that means Kamala.

I agree. Jake Tapper @jaketapper.bsky.social needs to pull his book for awhile.

Let's hope so. These non-chemo therapies do work. I was very surprised.

Stress will pop or exacerbate cancer. They did this to him. 😑
comment in response to post
Yes, I think so. My dad at 90-91 had metastatic bladdar-lung cancer. They put him on Keytruda infusions (immunotherapy not chemo) and it held. He died from something completely unrelated.

Even *I* got very groggy years ago when I was travelling heavily across time zones... and I was only 35-40 !! Crossing many time zones is brutal. It is said: body-mind recovery & readjust = 1 day for every time zone you cross.

And the backstory to this interview was that Joe was extremely worried-stressed that Hunter would relapse or hurt himself over the relentless bullying aimed at him threatening prison over basically nothing. Everybody knew the way to break Joe is to go after his kids.

Exactly! He did his job and did it well. He got us out of Covid and the previous financial mess, and repaired our relationships around the world. 🩡

And who does Hogg think he is - deciding who is "deadwood"? Who anointed him? He's not the decider! We the voters are. WE get to decide if our reps/senators/governors are deadwood or not. Not him.
comment in response to post
Absolutely! He was going to take $20mm and spend it on what amounts to [primary] election meddling, tampering (putting his hand on the scale), influence-peddling just like the Russians did in the general 2016. He had access to the data + money = wrong!!
comment in response to post
He can do what he wants... I'm sick of his antics. We'll just keep a list of his crap and rename everything back when he's gone [yawn].

To Win across the midwest! That's the only qual this time. Solid sustained substantive Primary will solve this.

Yes! With Pete. Both from the Midwest ruby reds.

Yes! And they were waiting... drooling... for Chuck to foolishly walk right into their trap. But he sidestepped it with *very* carefully curated votes. Remember Nancy? *Always* count and play your votes for strategic longterm benefit & keep your powder dry 🩡.

Me too! But doesn't that make us British? We were Pilgrims-Quakers... as subjects of British Kings? Or Native Americans from Canada?

That really is good, isn't it! 😊

I would likewise double check your numbers. Talib's district is Mich 12. 48% white. 48% black. Less than 2% Hispanic to cut into her vote. She is Cook D+21. Many R's voted Kamala but stayed true for their darling Rogers (v Slotkin) for Senate & below. Mich statewide is R+1. Very different races.
