Trump and his admin are not acting in any semblance of good faith, but the courts are accustomed to giving the executive branch a presumption of regularity and good faith. The result is a giant loophole that lets Trump flagrantly outside the law while the courts chase down every bad-faith appeal.

Interesting detail in the UMich data this month. All political groups reported higher *average* inflation expectations, but overall *median* inflation expectations fell. Two possibilities (not mutually exclusive): a more Republican sample, or inflation expectations skew is getting more dramatic.

whats even crazier about this is that the redistribution is negative sum! if you passed a law saying "everything stays the same, but the bottom 9 deciles have to give the modeled amount of money to the top decile", then the top decile would get more money! this is a way to explain Kalecki, imo
