Marketing consists of me banging on about it on bluesky! Haha! Well I did send out 40 odd free download codes to internet stations etc but only about 6 or 7 of these wonderful people bothered to download it. They've played tracks from it though. I'm a hobbyist but try all the same!

I've done this a few times this year, its depressing. A few rejections of late and it used to give me fire to do more and make better music but often it leaves me dejected. I get a kick of out self releases and a few on the trot broke even but with the current one back to making a loss!

I thought Substack was beyond the pale these days although I'm not up to speed with news so it may well have changed?

I remember showing my Grandma (born 1916) my laptop and the internet when she was in her 90s! She told that when her own mother (born c.1870s) was old she wouldn't set foot in a house if it had a TV set as they were the work of spirits!

Wow what an image! that is uncanny because I made a video of driving on a road repeatedly with the setting sun in the mirror. Its on the main page for my new album. The wing mirror shots come in about half way through of the track if you're interested audioobscura.bandcamp.com/album/as-lon...

Yeah its tight! Mine are £10 each at the moment which seems steep but this one looks beautiful! I'll break even if I sell about 10 more I think which I do normally sell them all at some point. I'm not a label, it's just me and I'm happy just to cover costs. Big respect to you labels though!

I used Bandcds - my recent run from them had a cost of about 4.50 each just for the production - but with the designer and mastering of the music also to pay that is now higher. Hence I need to basically sell nearly all of them to cover costs!

I’m really enjoying this album, it has a wonderful palette of sound. I love the slow build up rhythm on The weight of the world.

Thanks! Mine was designed and illustrated by someone else but love that they've done. We originally wanted in yellow transparent case but couldn't get any. If you have any when you get back to the UK we can swap if you have any like?! Would love to hear it!

Snap! I also went for the turquoise tape cover!

Yes. Thanks. In part I hit a real low of 'creative block' and seeing peoole I love get old and die, so a feeling of mortality hangs in the balance here and so this was a fresh start and a reset of sorts.
