A book I’ve found helpful for the exact feeling/reaction you’ve been describing is On Freedom, by Timothy Snyder. I’ve been finding a LOT of books helpful lately and regret that I didn’t read many of them years ago but better late than never. Anyway, On Freedom is my recommendation for this moment ✌️
