UAWD’s years of dogged rank-and-file organizing work is the reason we have Shawn Fain, but it seems that the caucus has increasingly wrestled with conflicting visions/priorities for the group. A UAWD doc shared with me noted that manufacturing workers in particular have felt unheard and outnumbered.

They coordinated the ouster of SF DA Chesa Boudin. They're almost certainly coordinating the broader attacks on trans people, funding dark money groups, and pushing anti trans narratives.

We got a glimpse of this last year when it leaked that a bunch of billionaires like Bill Ackman were coordinating attacks on elite schools for not stifling anti Israeli protests and not having police bashing in students skulls.
