I understand what you are saying. I understand the need to point out the difference, but its still just one more obstacle that's in place, that only effects the working class. Which is why my outrage at the ability of insurance companies just being able to pull insurance like they have.

The word mandatory doesn't only mean laws, there are rules set out by these companies. So it is Mandatory at a lot of places. I dont understand your hair splitting

My mistake, I was under the assumption that because most mortgage companies and rental companies require it, that it was mandatory. But if its mandatory by those people, then it is mandatory, unless you pay cash for a house.

This should have always been in place. The insurance companies lobbied to make insurance mandatory so they could make profits, they shouldn't be able to be like "well we only wanna cover the people we never have to pay on" thats just them collecting donations. Or rather stealing money.

I had to switch to digital and audio books because my brain started making me put books down and forget about them, just so this wouldn't happen. 😓
