"Oh you know the ones", "I like pancakes. So you hate waffles?", and Tyler's "How The Fuck Is Cyber Bullying Real" are my canonical tweets I think

No, this year Rick brought in a writer from Minnesota named KNEW for that, he also did the black and white hoodie that's like an updated version of the one Jony Fraze and I worked on a couple years ago with the collage of text
As well as doing the the custom HELLO sticker shirt lettering

Thank you! My actual pay-the-bills design work is still fun and satisfying, but not as loose and personal as being able to do things for my own passions

The red/white/blue sold out day 2 on the floor, but if you still wanted one they are available online for a little longer

Fun fact: Ohio is the only red state to make the flowers on the 10th anniversary pattern

I'm sorry I only got to briefly say hi while chasing Rick around the hall, but it was nice to see you!

Not only are these π₯ photos, but I love that I'm seeing things that I didn't notice while I was at the show, it's like a whole other view
I utterly missed that they remixed my pattern for these controllers for instance lol

Hey thanks! So much of things Rick and I do together come out of happy accidents or things we didn't really plan and it's honestly one of my favorite parts of our relationship
The original throwie was literally a throw away design in a pile of sketches, probably all of 90 seconds of effort lol

Thanks! I'm not always the best about documenting this stuff, been meaning to do a thread like this for months so I could pin it for easy reference

Gutter Trash is my private, invite-only arcade
I like to make stickers and fun things to promote it to share with my friends, and it's just a great personal outlet to be able to play without worrying about what anyone else wants

I meant to post this thread earlier in the year, I wanted to document some things and have something to pin to my profile, but I had just done the FGC Meetups logo and I wasn't sure it was public yet
Seeing someone in a shirt with the logo at Combo Breaker reminded me that it was time

The original version that's been on CB clothing tags for a couple years now has a certain charm, and nobody but me every noticed or cared that it was a little sloppy, but I'm much happier to have the new one
I tried to keep the same feeling, and well, like I said, I'm sure nobody noticed the change

We call this one the throwie logo, short for throw up, a style of quick graffiti lettering that emphasizes economy of speed and flow
I asked Rick to let me redo it this year to clean it up, because the original was part of a bunch of letter sketches and I didn't know it would appear on *everything*

Here's a fun project, the custom joysticks I made for the 2025 Evo Award trophies
The bat tops are 3D printed ABS that was vapor smoothed, the lever shafts were brass, the dust washers were laser cut acrylic

The early designs for the Floral Handstyles included the state flowers for all of the Midwest before we decided to just do the blue states and Ohio
The sunflower on the left is Kansas, the rest escape me right now
We also thought about a throwie logo shirt we didn't end up doing, but I still like

Combo Breaker's video editor Meeks always makes any lettering I do look good in motion, these stills are from the 2025 Combo Breaker announcement trailer

As well as the merch we used the Floral Handstyles for graphics around the show and the video productions

For Combo Breaker 2025's 10 year anniversary I designed the 'Floral Handstyles' pattern we used for the camo hoodies and various other products
The floral part comes from the state flowers for Illinois, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Ohio. Handstyles is what we call the graffiti lettering

The best resource for Mission Craft is from Galloping Ghost's channel:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=iipd...
My understanding is it was made by a Korean company. There is a history of somewhat uninspired shooters from Korea with bootleg assets, like Wyvern Wings having a knockoff heavy metal soundtrack

There's no avoiding all the walking around and standing on the concrete floors in general, but I do legit wonder if having some padding for the command center would help
I was talking to one of the camera operators about using an anti-fatigue mat, they're often in one place, that might be great

I can play it locally-ish, slight drive but nothing that's a big deal, just requires making the effort
I left the house for Combo Breaker, can I do it again? π€
