From Ukraine to Maine, defenders of democracy are standing up and speaking out. And the people are responding. My write-up on the state of the resistance: https://buff.ly/3ETGLVZ

A brilliant take on the multiverse this Book o’ the Dawn - it’s all housed in one building (well, a lot is) and the story is deeply human and gripping #AmReading

Yay! A Book o’ the Dawn, just in time for yet another pointless, exhausting commute! 😜🎉😜 #AmReading

Gotta say that the greed of the streaming platforms is something else. Amazon have introduced ads and now Paramount+ are doing the same ... so I'm quickly reaching the point where I'll just start cancelling them and if I can't see a series like Star Trek: Strange New Worlds S3 then I guess I won't

Here’s the peace deal🧵

“This is nice behaviour, that I write to you again and again, and you pay no attention to me.” This almost 4,000-year-old Babylonian letter in clay is proof that we have been finding ways to say “per my last email” for some time

A glorious day on Sydney Harbour ❤️ Here to see the Australian Chamber Orchestra and had lunch at the House Canteen looking out at that fabulous view! And the food was delicious 😋 It’s sunny, it’s cool and it’s the kind of day to indulge in all the loveliness of this city I call home 🏠

Christmas stuff is finally away! We leave it up this long for three reasons … (1) I LOVE the season so why not let it linger because it makes me happy? (2) Candlemas, a religious festival, doesn’t end ‘til 7 February and (3) I’ve spent a fortune on decorations so might as well get my money’s worth 😂

Starting this quirkily-titled gem on this morning’s commute … the last of my 3 days in a row! 🎉🥳🎉 #AmReading

the major parties have seen their primary votes fall from 96% in 1975 to 68% in 2022. they had two options to arrest the decline: 1. win back trust with good governance & good policy 2. rig the system tonight they chose to rig the system. a dark day for australian democracy.

I point blank refuse to use it as a content writer … and have told my boss so.

A long overdue Book o’ the Dawn! First up is the current read (Falling) with Antique Hunter’s just finished … both excellent reads 🥰 #AmReading

TPG internet has been down for 5-6 hours and counting. That's annoying but dealable because at least I can tether to my phone. What is infuriating is that they sent out one fairly vague message 4 hours ago via Facebook and then nothing. Marketing 101 is keep people informed but they're not 😡

That’s quite the storm out there! My gallant bf raced out, and got very wet doing so, to bring my curry plants to sheltered safety (they were being heavily buffeted) … it’s a gorgeous gesture anyway but more so because they were grown from my late mum’s plant and mean the world to me 🥰

Such a wonderful day with Andrew Geddes Susie Meyer Rohan & Robbie and my gorgeous guy Stephen … back in Andrew’s old ‘hood of Marrickville, walking to beer and gin breweries, sampling delicious food and yummy drinks and enjoying brilliant company and fun conversation. 🎆🎉🥰🥳🫂

🥰🥰🥰

Go Greenland!

On the road again … goodbye Melbourne - fabulous as always ❤️

Pies and donuts last night (Sutton Forest) … and this morning! (Chiltern) Yay for road trip food 😂

Loving the early morning countryside around Woomargama, on the way out of Holbrook ❤️

Road trip! @paigeturner1853.bsky.social - get ready for pies and signs and who knows what else? Fun! 🤩 Off to Melbourne we go!

Yuuuuuup

Awwwww ❤️❤️❤️

Well that is quite the downpour/storm here in Sydney … thanks to my umbrella, which is the size of a small village bandstand haha, only my very lower legs are soaked so … yay I guess?

A Book o’ the Dawn! At Dawn … or near dawn adjacent 🎉 A rom-com delight which will become my Valentine’s Day review in just a couple of weeks or so #AmReading

It’s January 27 and already this year feels deeply wearying.

YES! Do not give up your power or your rights in advance!

Well, that explains it 🤔

HAVE MERCY. Stunningly beautiful artwork by @nordacious.bsky.social celebrating the empathy, kindness & decency of Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde. She spoke to the powerful on behalf of the powerless, calling for compassion & mercy. Prints/tees: bit.ly/40M6ZlV 💜 🎨 #USPolitics #religion #Christianity
