Wait, they expect you to whip up a thanksgiving dinner for 15 with just over 24 hours notice? That's absurd! If not potluck, no one is allowed to be upset if dinner is 20 items from Trader Joe's freezer section.

I like XP as currency more than levels, especially if it's based on character and story goals. I find it's a useful way to direct and incentivize the desired gameplay. If the system uses levels, I'd prefer the milestone leveling 5e DnD uses. Save everyone the math, and pace the game how you want.
