It’s been around with that model since 2017, and they’ve always said that’ll never change, so I have hopes it won’t ☺️ they make their money from the top earning paid subscription newsletters, plus investment from people who believe in independent journalism etc ☺️ 1/2

It’s completely free, no matter how many subscribers you have ☺️ they take 10% of revenue if you have paid subscriptions, but there’s no pressure to turn those on if you don’t want to monetise ☺️ I use mine to host blog-style content and don’t even send them out as emails 😅

It’s a newsletter service ☺️ you can choose to send out newsletters to subscribers or just post them to the web blog style, and you can even host podcasts or videos on there if that’s your medium ☺️ there’s a subscription option for if you want to paywall things plus lots of other features too

Me too! I left Twitter ages ago, but after the announcement from Meta it looks like Threads is going to go downhill quickly too, hence trying this place out. We need to bring MySpace back haha
