Honestly one of the main reasons I haven't played 2 lol Gonna probably go through it with the 2DHD remaster when that comes out :D

I hate DQ11's set up SO MUCH. Why is there Loto symbology?! The original trilogy is a sealed set, do not return to it! Made it up to shortly after getting Jade and realized I still didn't care at all for any character and didn't like their skill tree system so just kinda dropped it.

DQ9 was passable... but it was mediocre at best, I only remember the doll story and otherwise kinda disliking the plot. DQ8 I hated the story and characters but had ok gameplay so I kinda spite finished it.

DQ1 is short but sweet and every story has to start somewhere. DQ6 has ok town stories but I love the dream vs real self and Barbara's tragic story. DQ5 is really cool between a generational story and also tamable monsters. Slime Knight ftw!

DQ3 has a sense of adventure that was amazing at the time and still feels great, along with actually balanced jobs. DQ7 has so many amazing stories for each island as you revive them, played through it many a time just for that. DQ4 has a unique chapter system and a fun cast.

I sometimes enjoy the "Create your own party games" but the main story and various town stories didn't feel as good as a lot of prior entries, and that's what made it meh for me. Never did any multiplayer stuff.

LOL WHAT
I never hit 99 in anything so didn't know that!!! Neat.

It suffered from that and also very much not looking like a modern game. I remember it being mocked in many publications and forums for looking very low quality. The stories more than made up for that for me, but I've been playing since 1 so am heavily biased lol

Awwww... I honestly liked it a bunch :( I really liked the whole dream world vs real world thing and the individual stories along the way, along with enjoying the job system implementation. Probably rate it like 5th or 6th favorite... I need to do a tier list.

This only affects the Switch 1, so should honestly be going down I think?

Her default is pretty! I personally prefer her Luna outfit cuz armored leotard is a neat look.
The game is cute and fun and definitely full of homages to the older Mana games, but even without those the story stands well on it's own so far. Hope you get to enjoy it at some point!
