They haven’t charged the judge with harboring. As bad as this is, Miller’s adding misinformation to it in the hope of creating more panic.

Fascinated by the 1% who think Trump is "scary" but they approve. They just love being terrified by their President. I'm picturing them sitting under swords of Damocles, eating expired dairy snacks, hiding sharp objects in their own clothes drawers just to feel something.

It seems Neil Gorsuch's subconscious briefly took over the oral argument this week. “'Bondage' and 'sex worker,' though, are not on the list [of things to look for in "Pride Puppy"], despite Gorsuch’s protestations to the contrary. Neither is, uh, 'clamps.'" ballsandstrikes.org/scotus/pride...

BREAKING: In a sudden about-face, a DOJ attorney saiys ICE will be RESTORING the status of thousands of foreign students whose SEVIS records were terminated w/o notice earlier this month. The move comes amid mounting losses in courts around the country. www.wusa9.com/article/news...

Stories coming from around the country that students are having their SEVIS status randomly restored, just as randomly as it was terminated. Suggests that ICE is either reversing these terminations on a large scale or having actual human beings finally look at cases and make decisions.

he’s right and he’s right to say it

". . . So you think we should act like murderers?"

NEW from @nytimes.com: A bone-chilling account. A Venezuelan man detained alongside the 238 sent to El Salvador on March 15 seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth. His name isn't among the names of those sent to CECOT that day and no one spotted him among those men. He's just... gone.

Miller knows he’s lying. The system wasn’t against them—the evidence was. Because they committed crimes on national television.

Among other things, please notice the extremely brazen lies DHS told the media about this American citizen: McLaughlin said Hermosillo…wanted to turn himself in and complete "a sworn statement identifying as a Mexican citizen who had entered unlawfully." L I E www.nbcnews.com/politics/imm...

After federal troops forced a fugitive slave named Anthony Burns back into slavery in the 1850s, one Bostonian wrote, “we went to bed one night old-fashioned, conservative, Compromise Union Whigs and waked up stark mad Abolitionists.” The abuse of power radicalizes people. We are seeing that now.

TRAC report on detainers--ICE requests to state and local police to hold immigrants so ICE can pick them up: "Often, ICE did not follow through and take these individuals into custody and most targeted immigrants had not been convicted of any crime" tracreports.org/reports/758/

this from @ksabeelrahman.bsky.social looks like an incredibly timely intervention in the debate over how to understand DOGE and the broader attack on progressive federal administration papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers....

So the head of MS-13 was apprehended outside of a Home Depot while looking for work? Huh. Times are tough in gang land I guess.

Curious about whether there’s a defamation action here.

“Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

I was just reminded that this administration had no problem facilitating Andrew Tate's release from custody in Romania.

A very old Soviet joke, from an especially dark time: Foxes are fleeing the USSR in droves. Q: Why are you running away? Fox: The Soviets passed a new law that they’re going to arrest all camels. Q: But you’re foxes! Fox: Yeah, why don’t *you* try proving to the NKVD that you’re not a camel.

Criminals deserve due process because due process is literally how we determine whether someone is, *in fact*, a criminal

As a trans person, I’m going to insist that there’s absolutely nothing wrong with “affecting” lots of different looks. Be a different person every day! Be goth one day and midcentury modern the next! It’s a great way to find yourself. And you might be surprised what you find.

Wouldn't it be nice if every news outlet that covered the Bukele Oval Office meeting noted: District court wrote: Abrego Garcia "has never been charged with or convicted of any crime."⤵️ Fourth Circuit: The government presented "NO EVIDENCE" of MS-13 affiliation. Abandoned argument before court. ⤵️

Speaking of RI and free trade, every year my neighborhood has a parade and burns a tariff enforcement vessel in effigy to celebrate the seizing of the royal revenue sloop HMS Gaspee in 1772. Just sayin'

I think of the 'keytar' as an iconic 80's instrument, possibly because of the rise of synthesizers around the same time. Some genius hit on the idea of putting a shoulder strap on a keyboard synthesizer, then added a guitar-like neck. KEYboard + guiTAR = KEYTAR! Let's talk about the history.

THREAD: The Trump administration's DOJ has removed a study from the NIJ website that found that immigrants, and particularly undocumented immigrants, commit crimes at significantly lower rates than U.S. citizens. The study is at odds with the Trump regime's propaganda about immigrants & crime. (1)

What this obviously means is “during the time when the court’s order was in effect, we did not obey it.” The technical name for that is contempt. This is an admission.
