FYI, for aspiring allies… pls don’t refer to trans people as “transgenders”, “transes”, “tr@nnies”, etc, even as a joke. As with many marginalized groups, we can call ourselves certain words, for various reasons, but you should not. “Trans people” or “trans folx” (or folks) are just fine.
