And I won't be watching, because it's pointless, and because I can't stand hearing him. It'll all be thoroughly analyzed anyway

Because Twitter is owned by a Nazi. A better question is why are you still on Twitter?

Meanwhile I may not have a job after this week, not because I'm being fired or quitting, but because of the impact of DOGE incompetence

Every day, when I think Trump can't get worse, he surpasses himself. He and Vance looked like a two-bit mob boss and his thug shaking down a small businessman. I've never been so ashamed to admit to international friends that I'm an American.

I'd be looking for the snarkiest to sit next to and share snarky comments with, sotto voce. That probably means a hobbit, and one who isn't terrified, so probably Bilbo. We could talk about how this ridiculous ongoing meeting is cutting into lunch time

"Game" has so many meanings. And then there's "gamey", as in DOGE's operations smell very gamey

This is an example of the reason I'd never move back to a red state. Not that we don't have this sort of idiocy in MD, but at least it's a bit diluted here

As an aside, adding the -ical suffix made me thing of T.S. Elliot's Jellicle cats. And that tells me I should get more coffee. 3/3

Given that ἄγγελος took on theological baggage as specifically a divine or heavenly messenger, I then leapt to "demon", δαίμων, for a bad demigod. And I suppose that takes us back to Morgoth. Hmm, would that be μοργοθ ? But that would be "black enemy". 2/3

I already knew εὐαγγέλιον, where the αγγέλιον bit was glossed to "spell", meaning news or message. That connects it to ἄγγελος, "angelos", meaning messenger, which is how I got to "bad messenger". 1/3

Not having an OED subscription, I looked at the roots, and therefore wonder in what way "dysangelical" would be different from "demonic". Is it using the "angel" root in its Greek sense of "messenger", or in the subsequent ecclesiastical sense?

In fairness, I think they are meant to be somewhat touristic kitsch, used for tours and events, and not operated by the local TransIT bus system. You'll note from the website that they are right-hand drive, meaning not really safe for pedestrians boarding in traffic. marylanddoubledeckers.com
