This seems more like 2004 Bush era more than Reagan era. Everyone and their mother saw Reagan as their hero, and protests against him were almost nonexistent. The way how I’ve been seeing this election outcome is not that Trump won, but the Democrats lost. He doesn’t have the support Reagan did!
