Moving the plant and garden stuff to @chaoticveganhome.bsky.social if you’d like to follow me there 🌱

Good thing I watered and covered my plants. Woke up and it was 32° #gardening

In this age of extreme technological advances I am personally offended that GPS still tells me shit like “Head East” like I’m Ferdinand fucking Magellan.

I’ll be curious to see by how much

Vegan homesteading. Is that a thing? I’m making it a thing.

I’m late to the party 🤣

The dumbest government in human history

Funny, the things that are the straw that breaks the camel’s back.

“Exclusively to X”?! That’s tantamount to being a step toward acknowledging X is a state media platform for the Trump administration. It also serves to try to pull many less-media- literate and vulnerable elders onto a platform full of propaganda, conspiracies, and grifters.

Do I change my name now? Or wait until the senate vote? What if the senate procrastinates until it’s too late for us to get passports or change names to match our birth certificate?

We spent almost $500 to get the 3 of us passports last month. I knew this was going to pass the house. This is absolutely a poll tax on women and unconstitutional. We are being made to pay to vote.

Unsurprisingly, they are befuddled by intelligence

WASHINGTON (AP) — Supreme Court says Trump administration must facilitate return of Maryland man mistakenly deported to El Salvador.

If the US government requires passports for you to practice your rights such as voting then passports should be provided for free to all and within a reasonable timeframe by said government.

We are all remarkably cool with having lost our rights to vote

Trump never signed an executive order to roll back the tariffs and there's none in the register so we're flying blind here

That Lindsey Graham quote about “if we elect him, he will destroy us, and we will deserve it” runs around my head like a rabid weasel.

BREAKING: The House will vote on the SAVE Act today. If this bill becomes law, millions of American citizens could be blocked from voting. 1/

interesting. this would be pertinent information that an opposition party might be blasting out through all of its messaging apparatuses in a coordinated fashion. If such a party existed...

Don’t overthink this. He’s asking for bribes.

why is *every* newspaper/programme running with the headline "tariffs are paused" when they haven't been. What's happened is that every country (except China) gets a flat rate of 10% for 90 days.

What a bizarre way to govern.

China has issued an alert for its students studying in the US.

And child abuse

Economist Peter Schiff: “The crash that's now happening in the bond market has more dire implications than…the stock market. If these tariffs remain in place, the US could have a full-blown financial crisis by the fall that makes the 2008 Financial Crisis look like a Sunday school picnic.”

this whole thing is absolute manufactured chaos just to make the boy king feel important

If you haven’t read this, you should. I just started the book and it’s very thought-provoking.

🚨 JFC, per pool: Trump complained that the U.S. doesn't produce its own pharmaceuticals any more and talked about disparities in global prices. “We’re going to be announcing very shortly a major tariff on pharmaceuticals.” He said that will bring pharmaceutical production back to the U.S.

We are SO fucking cooked, guys

BREAKING: China retaliates after Trump’s new tariffs, announcing it will raise tariffs on US goods to 84%

tl;dr: It's not just about our trinkets. We may be about to face massive food insecurity because of that man in DC. Even if you have the money, the supply chain is how most food arrives on our plates. It's an entire (politically manufactured) problem.

You either won't be able to afford food or there will be no food to buy and either way they want us grateful for whatever scraps they decide to give us.

Asian grocery stores are a lifeline to the communities they serve. But store owners say the prospect of sweeping tariffs are threatening their ability to stock up on goods and keep prices affordable.

During COVID, we learned the hard way that nearly all our hospital PPE i.e. masks, gowns, gloves comes from China. A 104% tariff could send us straight back to pandemic-level shortages or drive healthcare costs even higher.🫠

It’ll be a blast when dire wolves replace the doodle mixes as the trendy dog breed

COVID didn't "turn out fine." Over 1 million people died in just the US. People are still dying. 100s of thousands of people are still dealing with the effects of Long COVID. And the entire country lost its shit and is still unwell. Tariffs will not "turn out fine." Effects will be experienced.
