Thanks. I'm amazed that some folks took this seriously. But yeah, unfortunately, while some folks didn't take a vacation many do. I wanted to and I do not celebrate XMAS but I do celebrate time off. Unfortunately, I have these papers. And no, I cannot just wait to do these after Jan 1.

It wasn't as bad as it looks. Was just a long one that started with seeing how structural problems in the academy are perpetuated and recognizing my role in that & ended with discussing all of the problems and recognizing the futility of efforts to eliminate them. (Maybe was as bad as it looks.)

Oh, thank you for including me on this thread! That German unicorn fossil is priceless and I'm going to use it! And I found the metaphor digging through old original conceptualizations of memory. Neisser has written some of my favorites. I wish I could have known him.

I think this could be one explanation. People may engage in less effortful, shallower encoding processes when scrolling through social media. This could result in encoding information and not the source. "I read somewhere that..."
