my real issue with elden ring is that my first fromsoft game was sekiro, meaning that i want everything to be sekiro and none of the others are sekiro

it took me a long ass time to get into elden ring, but when i started focusing on the NPC quests and found a sword i really liked, it clicked for me

looking at the comments on elden ring NPC quest guides, and every single one is like "bro how the FUCK did you figure all of this out"

The last few months in the U.S. must hit so good if you’re stupid

if you ever see me make and delete several tweets to fix typos, no you didn't

trying to drive in LA is like going to a new area in bloodborne you weren't prepared for

hey i just want to say real quick that i'm not the person to go to for info on the future of LiS or questions about what's going on at deck nine. I got laid off over two months ago, and i don't have any insight. please don't ask me to break NDA. my attention is focused on finding new work rn.

imagine being this cozy.

I think as long as the story is good you can just do whatever

Read books

me: this dude, what's his deal? elden ring: he's a giant jar full of body parts me: haha what about this guy? ER: he's the corpsefucker and he wants to fuck your corpse me: omg, and who's this?? ER: ...turtle with a pope hat

Season 5 of tma when the Helen distortion is trying to get a polycule going with Jon and Martin: peak

i like to think that about 80% of development of a fromsoft game is the team sitting down and making a list of interesting new kinds of pervert

me: this dude, what's his deal? elden ring: he's a giant jar full of body parts me: haha what about this guy? ER: he's the corpsefucker and he wants to fuck your corpse me: omg, and who's this?? ER: ...turtle with a pope hat

I think I own Hollow Knight on four platforms. No cost too great.

Fictional villains: my motivation involves a complex backstory around lost love and a deep yearning to be understood Real life villains: being cruel makes me feel like a big strong man

this is a tweet for three people and i'm one of them

Thinking about the villain in the Magnus Archives whose actor described him as “killgrave, as played by Stephen Fry”

let me write James Bond i'll make it gay

You won’t see me doom-posting, not particularly because I think things will be okay, but out of a sense that despair is one of the least pleasurable emotions, and a well-honed hatred of letting my enemies see me sweat

“I have under a million dollars in my bank account” well me too bitch, like it’s hard

back to playing elden ring, and i love how no matter how good you get at this game if you approach any fight the wrong way you will be instantly owned. keeps us humble.

lowkey a thing i love is the first dishonored game where every guard has the same voice, so every ambient conversation sounds like some dude talking to himself. effervescent.

Every time the cultural discourse swings back to “we need less grimdark bullshit” it’s terrible news for those of us who like to feel bad

NEW UPDATE to Some Actions That Are Not Protesting or Voting. - a few people have written to me to ask if I could include HEADINGS and I have done so. Also added a few more ideas. docs.google.com/document/d/1...

A thing I love in the Magnus Archives is in the latter half of the show when the protag is turning into a lovecraftian horror and feeling the impulse to hurt people, and he goes to a character who has been a monster for a long time and asks her “when do my emotions turn of? When do I stop caring?”
