Guess that neighbor isn't getting any free wine any time soon. I've heard that grape vines are very hardy... hopefully not all of the plants are completely lost.

what a gorgeous setup! I've been itching to get stuff started, but being in 7a... it's only just now getting to be that time.

I would probably top that tall guy that's sticking out above the light, but instead of chucking it, I'd try to root it and get another plant! Win-win!

We had a huge crop from our banana peppers (way more than our bell peppers). Flavor-wise they were almost identical, just had a thinner wall than the average bell pepper I find in stores. We'll definitely be planting them this year, probably going to scrap bell peppers.

How much planning work went into this? It's looking great! I'm wanting to do something similar, but our property is pretty flat, so I'd have to do some more labor intensive landscaping, and am not entirely sure how I want to design it!

This book was one of the last things I read in the book club I was in a while back and it has stayed with me! Excellent choice!

Until I am told personally by my principal or Director of Schools... I'm proceeding as normal. Teaching my content area, highlighting POC as I have the opportunity, and encouraging my students to look at other perspectives beyond just what they were raised with.

-listening to them and what they need. Things like right to repair, funding for trade education, legislation that helps them own businesses instead of drowning them in red tape, affordable child care, etc. And above all else, LISTEN to the people and what they say they need.

I watched a panel discussion hosted by the IOP out of the University of Chicago that featured a Dem Rep out of Oregon, and one of the things she mentioned was that a lot of Dems talk down to/don't listen to what folks in rural areas have to say. The party needs to go back to championing workers and-

We're in rural TN too... we quit cable, but we do have internet through Spectrum, since it was the only high speed option in our area. Might need to see if there are other options, but I'm not going to satelite or something at this point.
