All of this to say yes. I do have other things and people in my life that I need to worry about. Because politics are currently absolutely fucking them over. I guess it doesn't matter until the leopard eats YOUR face though. By then it's too late.

Not to mention the people that are being affected by it WAY MORE than I currently am. But these people can't think past themselves so trying to show them how others are suffering doesn't even matter.

I have to care and pay attention to politics because it directly affects the kind of future I'm going to have. It affects how I'll be treated or if it's even safe for me to be out. It'll affect whether I'm ever able to get my own place or not.
