Yassssss dial input works. Of course there was a library made to help decode pulse dials. Wrong Arduino model for HID I discovered so waiting on a Pro Micro to come in to do numpad emulation.

While the keys I ordered didn't work, the Dewalt universal key worked way better than expected. The vibrations loosened all the screws and the core fell out before I was even half way through cutting it off 😅 The next payphone is now ready for disassembly and refurb.
