I woke up cranky and am trying not to go full hater mode, but I really think the Gundam: The Origin sub franchise was extremely detrimental to The Brand. The Definitive Version Of Gundam was hyped up to me for years and years but when I finally read it I basically disliked every single thing it did

Maybe this in-itself is a meta commentary. Maybe Gquuuuuux was a masterpiece all along lol.

It's both ironic and really funny that for a show that seems like it's setting out for a metatextual take on Gundam's themes of the new generation vs the old, Gquuuuuux just loves Gundam so much that it's completely disinterested in its "new generation."

Some of the worst experiences I've had with modern TFs has been with studio series carbots. Take the worst of Alternators' clearance issues, just now more fragile and 4x smaller so it's exponentially more of a pain in the ass.

The social class dynamic, cosmic horror angle, alt-UC politics, a lot of interesting ideas that don't feel like they're allowed to breathe or have real impact on the narrative stakes. I feel like I'm watching a compilation movie.

Concept art for a character that got eventually turned into Stinger. It's basically a toyline OC at this point.

Looks like Kadokawa and Dynamic Pro titles are still kicking for now.

Think I definitely like Prime a little more. Feels like there was a little more thought into his integration into the play pattern, though Megatron works well enough as a chunky G1-style Megs.

I like how this Cybertron apparently has Moai heads, Pyramids, and other Earth landmarks going by the box.

You'd be surprised at the amount of collectors who buy expensive plastic robots and don't know heads or tails about materials, disassembly, repairs, etc. Some of these people practically need supervision just to undo two screws.

It's suspected to be actually lube leaking to the cracks, like when Victory Sabers recently had the lube leaking on its knees. It does look a little too runny to be glue. I took a look at the reddit threads in question, there hasn't been any real confirmation yet.

Just magnificent. Could this guy have been done at retail? Maybe. Would it have been this good, absolutely not.

Super Fire Convoy mode, yeah. That's the stuff.

Some proportional issues aside, damn if base Prime isn't a blast to handle

Magnus definitely still retains the awkward "deluxe armorizer" feel of the original, but I appreciate the modern advancements. The more robust joints and heels help make him feel much stronger as a standalone.
