Grimes and the other lady should just tweet “failure to respond to your child’s mother will be taken as your waiving your parental rights.”

I don’t know how many different ways to say that agency personnel don’t work for Elon. They don’t have to report to Elon. They report to their agency leadership, which reports to the President.

The Nazi shit happens like clockwork and so does the media's whitewashing of it.

The President who was doing flyovers at Daytona and golfing through his presidency wants an accounting of every federal employee’s work week or they will be fired. This while Elon Musk won’t account for any of his time to Congress.

This is why public employees should all be in unions.

My open letter to Elon Musk.👇 Mr. Musk, You recently criticized me and another prominent lawyer fighting for the rule of law and democracy in the United States. I am used to being attacked for my work, particularly on the platform you own and dominate. www.democracydocket.com/opinion/my-o...

This is horrible for the future of American science and innovation and economic wellbeing and all the things Pitt is not a small institution It has nearly 10K grad students It is where Salk discovered the polio vaccine

increasing the efficiency of government by having the president directly monitor the performance of all employees

Mr. Conflict-of-Interest strikes again!

Man he really called it

huh, i wonder what this is about www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

To clarify, Lisa Rein's scoop is that Leland Dudek was being investigated by the general counsel's office when DOGE tapped him to lead the agency, AND investigating officials believed he may be violating privacy and tax laws. 1/

Three things that make the U.S. the envy of the world: 1) Professionalized military with strong norm of civilian control 2) Higher education and cutting-edge scientific research 3) Ability to welcome immigrants and attract the “best and the brightest” All three are under threat.

Oh my god, Eric Adams is going to accidentally free Luigi. Amazing.

The Trump regime's segregationist agenda is clear. I argue that having a Black man as president of white America enraged a portion of this country so much, that they decided to destroy any pipeline to Black advancement in academia, government, & workplaces. karenattiah.substack.com/p/trumps-seg...

#TeslaTakedown

Not fresh observation but the idea that “government should be run like a business” is an exceedingly stupid one that fundamentally misunderstands the purpose of a functioning democratic government. Redundancies in the event of any problem occurring are the point, not a failure or “bloat”

"...one of the best people to lead those daily briefings, I think, is former Transportation Secretary @petebuttigieg.bsky.social, who is perfectly poised to take on this newly created, full-time position on Capitol Hill." - @cherijacobus.bsky.social

The Republican party is a Nazi party.

Republican events for a month now (including Inauguration Day!) have featured a prominent Nazi salute & legacy media outlets ignore it. Seems like a trend worth covering, no? Maybe access to the Nazi party shouldn't be prioritized??

This is so many words to say Trump fired the chairman of the joint chiefs because he’s black www.nytimes.com/2025/02/21/u...

There’s not a word in this story about the corrupt nature of this dismissal. Not a concern voiced, not a question raised, not even an acknowledgment that he’s the president’s biggest donor and he’s acting as an unelected, unconfirmed tyro wielding unchecked power over spending and the civil service.

ALEXANDER: Fraud is a crime. Have you turned over evidence of fraud to the Justice Department, and when should we expect to see those indictments? LEAVITT: It's a clever question

Oh wow, what a crazy random happenstance.

Make America Good Again

Laid-off IRS employee said he had voted for Trump: "I thought that someone with his business acumen would have come in with a fine-tooth comb and actually found it instead of coming in with a wrecking ball and destroying people’s lives for no reason." www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news/local/p...

“By refusing to call figures like Patel what they are, the press is failing its duty to inform the public-and, frankly, it is enabling the further erosion of democratic norms.”

NEW: A regional FEMA chief of staff took Elon Musk's Fork in the Road offer. He has proof of receipt. But they didn't honor it. Instead, they fired him 13 days later. Now, this retired Navy captain is speaking out. www.thebulwark.com/p/musk-doge-...

How many federal workers would DOGE need to fire to make up for Musk not paying his fair share of taxes? Answer: 677,000. That's 44% of the entire non-DoD federal workforce. Again, this power grab is not about the budget. It’s about politics.

Like, my expectations for the presidency of an incompetent felon were, I thought, appropriately low. But I did not expect Soviet-style grocery shelves.

I know it was hard to tell at the time and hindsight is 20 20 but one early sign that maybe these Dems shouldn’t have voted to confirm someone who Trump 2.0 picked for a cabinet level post is that Trump had picked them for a cabinet level post www.huffpost.com/entry/trump-...

Be great if the legitimate press didn’t treat far-right troll farms like Breitbart and the Daily Caller, which is where these death threat campaigns originate, as farm teams for their DC bureaus

A disaster.

Feels like we shouldn’t be sending the message that death threats work this well

This is an absolute fucking disaster. Teenaged cybercriminals with physical access to the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency.

BREAKING — I've confirmed the DOGE staffers at SSA. They are Marko Elez (who was previously fired for racist posts and then reinstated), Ethan Shaotran, Nikhil Rajpal, and Gautier Cole-Killian. This is per Social Security Works, a non-profit working to protect/expand Social Security.

In 2024, the NLRB filed a complaint against Tesla for interfering in a union drive at their Buffalo, NY assembly plant. Today:

Trump FTC getting ready to go after social media companies (I'm sure it will skip ExTwitter, and possibly now Meta) for their First Amendment protected editorial discretion. www.regulations.gov/document/FTC...

Exactly: “It’s all but certain that many [Sullivan & Cromwell] lawyers are unhappy with the firm’s decision to become part of the Trump regime anti-rule of law machine, and for good reason. Apart from the sheer immorality of the firm’s choice … [a] starkly pragmatic question is also presented:”

Such an outrage.

“the United States is not a startup. The federal government exists to do all of the things that are definitionally not profitable, that serve the public good rather than protect investor profits. (The vast majority of startups also fail, something the United States cannot afford to do.)”
