If the U.S. government is going to take the position that, once removed from the United States, folks can’t be brought back, then it sure seems to me that federal courts should be reflexively and categorically barring *all* removals until they’re 100 percent certain that the removals are lawful.

if there are no laws or rules
why are we paying taxes
why obey any
unless they put the felon in charge in prison and set the example
we should have been revolted
Justice Marshall etc. envisioned for our democracy that our republican form was supposed to achieve. I fear that the POTUS’s pardon authority coupled with their criminal immunity frustrates this.
The SC has shown they can make shit up, why not this way as well?
Cannot be pardoned. Lock Rubio up!

I wonder when Congress will even notice. Have not heard one single Member or Senator mention it. Anybody?

The coup dismantling the system has been very methodical in their destructive actions, executing in plain site as to show it as the system working.
It is not. This is a full-blown coup meeting minimal resistance.
Do you see that happening to him? No.
The courts are powerless against him. He knows it. They know it.
But we all have to get out of our comfort zone and actually hit the streets.
The only thing he actually fears is that we will ALL come for him.
There are more members of the military on our side than there are on his.
A sad fact I've mentioned for years is too many parts of our gov have been managed by "handshake agreements", precendent, & "mutual understanding," rather than codified - risking Hammurabi, but def have gaps to fill

It’s almost as if they’re trying to circumvent the Constitution of the United States.
and iirc that argument failed to prevent the execution of someone with advanced memory loss 💀 so it's still fine to kill senile old people
the issue in dulles is (the propriety of) the US gov't imposing statelessness by denationalizing natural-born USCs—it's a substantive opinion about criminal punishment. abrego-garcia's case is a procedural question limited to the realm of civil law
I say it applies.
If not the 8th A, may habeas corpus proper.
The worst part is the SCOTUS seems sympathetic to this...
lowkey wanna see xinis send marshals on the DOJ's ass
Sounds more like "well we're not gonna fight the executive if they really insist" to me.
They could have put Abrego Garcia on a beach in Tahiti and it would be an unconstitutional violation of his due process rights.
Now, of COURSE it applies, but John Roberts is a fascist, and that's how he'll parse the situation into fascist-friendly legalese.
5a does apply, and i'm actually inclined to believe CJR would rule favorably
you might want to look at jgg v trump docket
https://stonedalgo.blogspot.com/2025/02/el-salvadors-offers-to-imprison-us.html
These people haven't committed, let alone been convicted of, any crime.
The fact that they are being punished *at all* is the problem.
Yes it’s cruel but the unusual part is one that can be proven and pushed legally? What do you think
It is cruel but more unusual
Last I checked every state court dropped their charges against Trump once the SCOTUS ruling hit the docket

Rise up!
The lower court did bar the removal; SCOTUS ruled against it after the fact, the Trump regime is violating courts & the Constitution.

That doesn't help Mr Kilmar Abrego Garcia.
And does not address defiance of the Supreme Court.
And does not address cruel and unusual punishment.
And not due process.
And...and...and!
They don't care about the law because of a convicted felon.
🚬😎
The DOJ?
The emperor has strangled justice.
What's circular logic? That one of them woke things?
When the 𝙐𝙎 𝙖𝙙𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙝𝙖𝙨 𝙖𝙙𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙩 𝙢𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙠𝙚𝙣𝙡𝙮 𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙈𝙧 𝘼𝙗𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙜𝙤 𝙂𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙞𝙖, the onus of redressing the kidnapping, trafficking and wrongful detention in a foreign prison, is their duty.
Prevarication and inaction is unacceptable!
It's a dereliction of duty!
Instead they continue down the road to making themselves obsolete.
that already treated you like shit?
What are you an asshole?
MOVE TO CANADA!
MOVE TO ENGLAND!
My copy of "How to End Fascism" is missing the chapter on "hope the lawless despot obeys the law."
They will continue to ignore all court rulings & flout the law

Any Government official sent by Trump or Miller should now be treated as an attack on your constitutional rights and you are being threatened with severe bodily harm or death. Those allow stand your ground right
This will be difficult but this can finally make a true difference. Please help. Resist✊️
Until the people all rise up, I suppose. So far, they can't be arsed, really. They're yawning as their democracy fades.

What then?
They're going with a different method.
all while we're sitting here watching.
Anything more will depend on what Trump and his administration do next.
"Oh, well, we really can't do anything if that country's government doesn't want to return them."
Don't tell Him!
You will be deported.
.
The only way to prevent this is to arrest everyone in ICE who breaks the law as it currently stands.
DoJ!?
From the kidnappings to the black site prison, these are criminal acts of terrorism.
Is there any evidence (not 'because we said so' from the regime lawyer) of actual crimes committed?

Also, we know they can be brought back. They just don't want to.
This could be any of us. We must speak out now, before it’s too late.

I believe he is delighted and even giggled a little because he is that kind of Catholic guy. Noah at all just never practices kindness. Finds integrity unnecessary and enjoys seeing the innocent suffer, especially during Holy Week.
Remember, there’s nothing horrible. Nothing that could possibly happen to a republican.

As of this administration, we have gun rights?
He’s already ignoring one of their rulings.
They'll have some boob of a congressman put forward anAct similar to the British Transportation Act of 1718.
I mean, they're already putting troops at-risk during attacks by using unauthorized communications […]
I can’t tell you the number of times (in the last five months) I’ve looked at articles trying to figure out where to run to.
