Arson at the home of the Jewish governor of Pennsylvania on the first night of Passover. Seems like the Trump administration might be looking for anti-Semitism in all the wrong places.

It is very good question and one I’ve been asking for months. If there is an international agreement with El Salvador for these renditions, the Trump administration is legally required under the Case-Zablocki Act to share it with Congress. To my knowledge, they have not done so.

yeah man, please make my 85 year old great aunt prove her citizenship to vote in rural georgia, this definitely isn’t reminiscent of anything in the american past

I agree. In a functioning democracy, we would already be in the midst of an impeachment trial.

Donald Trump is illegally sending people to a prison in El Salvador; unilaterally withdrawing visas for students, sometimes for First Amendment-related reasons; and assigning the military “missions” on the border … among many other steps. If this framing leads to another chart, I’m going to go mad.

If you are a law student or associate who joined one of the Big Law firms that is now collaborating with Trump to do pro bono, ignore the bullshit management is telling you. Here is what Trump has in mind for you. Your spineless leaders will never say no to him.

BREAKING: the heroes at Susman Godfrey sue the Trump administration over the illegal retaliation against them They have more integrity in their pinky finger than these other firms that have been capitulating have in their entire partnerships And kudos to the team at Munger for representing them

And this time the US President is personally and solely responsible for inflation. I’m sure this will be covered in good faith by the media

BREAKING: SCOTUS says Trump admin must "facilitate" Kilmar Abrego Garcia's return. The Trump admin fought the order — over a man it sent to a prison in El Salvador in an "administrative error" — to the Supreme Court, losing at all three levels of federal courts. Tonight, at Law Dork —>

There’s simply no way to overstate how insane this is

Trump has been racking up some procedural "wins" at the Supreme Court and the answer for why is simple: John Roberts is a feckless coward. He's like a cop in Uvalde, cowering outside waiting for the shooting to stop, instead of doing his job. My latest in @thenation.com

The President’s unprecedented Executive Order yesterday targeting Messrs. Chris Krebs and Miles Taylor for nothing but the exercise of their First Amendment rights is the President’s most constitutionally corrupt Executive Order to date.

Markets woke up and realized that a 10% global tariff and 125% tariff on China is still going to devastate America’s economy.

The 10% tariff alone is a $2500 per household annual tax hike!

This is driving me crazy too. Not long ago 10% universal tariffs were considered the worst-case scenario, something even Trump wasn’t crazy enough to impose. Now have those PLUS 125% tariffs on China. Together, these raise raise inflation by about as much as original “Liberation Day” tariffs did!

Ok sorry but getting on my soapbox to say that this isn’t a u-turn or a 180 or even a pause on tariffs. The MASSIVE tariffs are gone but BIG tariffs are still in place. And more so than before last week. Frame it right.

I want to win in 2028 and then I want every single piece of shit who is profiting off the pain of average Americans to be sent to prison

what a delightfully charming oopsie from the septuagenarian with the nuclear codes 👍👍 www.cbsnews.com/news/h-r-mcm...

This is a good recap

IRS lawyers advise that what Trump wants to do with private tax information is likely illegal. They do it anyway. IRS commissioner resigns (3rd one gone in 3 months). Hello courts: your turn. www.washingtonpost.com/business/202...

Bessent indicates that Trump still plans to announce new tariffs on lumber and pharmaceuticals despite the pause on the reciprocal tariffs 🤡

Good morning. Today is the 80th day that the U.S. President is running a backdoor bribery scheme in which any CEO or foreign oligarch can send him money secretly through his crypto coin scam in exchange for favors. It's the biggest scandal in the history of the Presidency.

It's crazy how during Covid we made fun of the "do your own research" crowd and said their "research" was just five minutes of Googling, because now pro-tariffs people make it obvious that five minutes on Google would be far more extensive research than whatever the hell they're actually doing.

"How could slapping a 104 percent tariff on German imports possibly lead to anything bad? What’s the Weimar Republic gonna do? Rapidly militarize?"

In less than one week, many Americans will no longer be able to apply for Social Security benefits over the phone, setting the stage for disruptions and upheaval. Nearly 6 million seniors live more than 46.6 miles, roundtrip, from a field office, per a new analysis. trib.al/5XSPqyL

For veterans of the Eurozone crisis, this is quite incredible - today Greece has a lower borrowing cost than both the UK and the US for their 10 year bonds. I had to check, all of the previous so called 'PIIGS' (Portugal, Ireland, Italy, Greece, Spain) have lower borrowing costs than the US today.
