It is predatory, but if you're direct about what they are doing it'll get through to them, you just shouldn't have to.
Male behaviour isn't at its best nowadays, self entitlement is engrained somehow.
But change does occur.

Self entitlement, refusal to process rejection, trying to find a weaker person. It's weirdly subconscious, most guys are horrified when it's pointed out to them with absolute clarity. You shouldn't have to though, that's the real problem.

It's desperation and a lack of self awareness. What starts off as basic attraction becomes an obstinate demand upon the rejection given by either silence or a lack of verbal acceptance. I'm afraid I was one of those types many moons ago. It's addictive behaviour.

Can I suggest googling Grace Blakeley, she is currently compiling a newsletter that shows examples of grassroots campaigns in the UK but it is relevant internationally.
She has written an amazing book called "vulture capitalism"
We can have hope but it's down to us I suspect.
